Ive done a little browsing in the feminism section and i admit its intriguing, please forgive my ignorance as i dont know alot about this all.

I just want to start by saying i was raised to respect everyone and i truly do, my view on equality is simply if some one, man or woman is good enough to do the specific job they aspire for then they have every right to get said job/goal, again if this is slight ignorance forgive me, i post this topic because i would like to learn and be less ignorant, love me some knowledge.. :)

So i suppose my question is broad and depends on the individual person's view, but what is the over reaching/ultimate goal of feminism ? or what does it mean to you personally ? and please, dont think im trolling or anything i genuinely want to learn a thing or two, thanks :)

Italiangreyhound i dont really have an answer to that, i sort of randomly came across the site, lurked in sections for a bit, lurked this section for a bit and sort of wanted to educate myself in the subject a bit more as like i said i dont know much about it.

Even by the title, I knew not to come to this thread. Seen it a million times over. Only came because I saw thebewilderness had commented, and I knew it would be good - not disappointed!

Op, to use the analogy used earlier on the thread- you wouldn’t meet a doctor at a party and say “can you tell me about human health” or a lawyer and ask “tell me about the law please”.

You achieve nothing by repeatedly apologising. Where you do learn us by reading, lots of threads and the links posters have kindly given you. There is no shortcut to learning.

@thebewilderness man or woman acting like that would get the same response for me. There again thats my opinion. I'm generally the same to people regardless of sex. If a woman had asked the question the response would have been very different. Equal opportunities....start treating people equal ... penis or not

Honestly this is one of the things I hate the most in people (and have most experienced in men who've done terrible things) - the apologising, expecting a pat on the head and to be forgiven. No. Accept you did something wrong, and don't do it again. Correct your behaviour. All is not forgiven, do better next time.

I've seen this kind of question from women and men. You know what, the genuine ones go and read some of the stuff they've been pointed at, and engage. They say - "Oh, thanks! I'll go and read that" then an hour later, they come back with questions. This is fine. This is not what OP has done.

You know what..... this is crazy. Man posts and gets many angry posts on retaliation....i posted my first post a few days ago worried about a scan on Sunday I have to check for cancer and got about two replies. I joined here thinking it was like a big group where people help and comfort and advise each other and offer up opinions....beginning to.think I thought wrong @lolli18 hit me with it
