@AngryAttackKittens - please don't go! Don't let the bastards win Sad

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 21:37

Why should I stay? Why should anyone? MNHQ is either incapable of understanding the extra level of risk they've just exposed users to or happy to throw users to the wolves in order to protect their brand. Neither of those options are acceptable to me. It's not a matter of personal safety etc - I'm fine. It's the principle of what's happening and the risk to more vulnerable women that I take issue with, as well as the frankly disrespectful tone being taken towards users.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 21:44

Cant blame you angry

I do see your point Sad

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 21:46

Im not staying here by myself

People need to give me a heads up that they are leaving

littlevoiceofsanity · 02/05/2018 21:48

I agree Angry. I thought Mumsnet was stronger than this. Looks like Emma Healey really did leave a lot of friends in place.
No good allowing twitter people to report on posters on here. The TRAs will spend hours hounding women.

Oh dear Mumsnet. If we all go why would you advertisers stay?

doctorcuntybollocks · 02/05/2018 21:50

If you go somewhere else, let me know where. I love the people on here.
I actually have tears in my eyes as I'm typing this.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 21:51

The fact that Twitter is a hostile environment for women (even without involvement in a "controversial" issue) has been all over the news for several years. How can a company that's in a closely related space not understand what a terrible idea it is to essentially put up a big sign saying "name and shame TERF witches here"?

AngryAttackKittens · 02/05/2018 21:53

I love you guys and don't want to lose touch with anyone here but seriously, I'm about ready to start banging my head on the keyboard going "just one actual social media strategist on staff, and one person who understands women's safety and harassment issues online, is that really too much to ask for?"

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 21:53

Well i said it was unfair on the other thread that we dont know why a post was deleted

There have been transphobic posts...i don't believe anyone has ever said there have not ever been transphobic posts

But people have been deleted for saying fuck off, or you are stupid and recently yawn and bless

But some of these fuckwits are taking every deletion on a 'trans' thread as being transphobic

If i told a poster on here to 'fuck off you stupid cunt' and get deleted its a personal attack...not transphobic

littlevoiceofsanity · 02/05/2018 21:53

Terrible idea. Allowing TRAs to report on women.

What's Netmums like?

Netmums is a bunch of drips.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 21:55

little

Its got ticker tapes and moving emoji

Its fucking scary

And you cant say fuck

(I really cant see angry on there to be honest)

sanluca · 02/05/2018 21:56

I cannot believe MNHQ don't see the tactic being used. The hounding of mumsnet on twitter, the endless campaign, on this thread the purposefully yelling transphobic so that the link is made and keeps being made so that the message is lost. How can you not see it, MNHQ? You are doing exactly what this manifesto is telling you its tactics are to grind people down. Not raise the level of acceptance by being good and nice, but isolating, destroying and othering the ones that are actually nice and good.

littlevoiceofsanity · 02/05/2018 21:57

Bloody hell. I'll volunteer as a moderator. I've never met Emma Healey so

no need to fear indoctrination. I don't want paying, just somewhere safe for women to talk about anything they want.
No one has the right to not be offended. No one.

Angry - would you go to Reddit GC? I'd even try and learn Reddit for you!

I cannot believe MNHQ don't see the tactic being used.

Nor can I, which makes me wonder what they're playing at.

I think they want rid of us.

RaininSummer · 02/05/2018 22:05

Well said LittleVoice. I am very peed off that mumsnet is letting these deluded hateful idiots close down intelligent discussion. I hope we can all find each other somewhere out there if this site collapses.

sallyannemum · 02/05/2018 22:05

Oh please some of you really need to get a life, Crying because you have been stopped from posting Transphobic comments, If that is all you have to be upset about, Spend a few days living as a Trans Woman then you can experience the very insults you are dishing out to these women via this group.
How can I make you understand Trans Women are not threat to you or your family..
So grow up and try knitting or cake baking instead,

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 22:06

Fuck me that was quick!!!

littlevoice was there and then gone

thebewilderness · 02/05/2018 22:07

LangCleg
There are two Gender Critical pages on Reddit. Splitters, yanno. The second one is called Gender_Critical.

RaininSummer · 02/05/2018 22:07

Are women not allowed opinions then Sally?

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 02/05/2018 22:07

Really glad sally used some there...so few people do

Although no one is crying about not being able to post stuff
