So it would appear that Linda has been arrested and interviewed for saying she would protect herself if the tra's attacked.... What the actual fuck?? This is getting ridiculous we need to act!

Just to be clear, that's being prepared to use self-defence against actual physical attack. Not punching someone because they disagree with you.

This is the second time that a small older woman specifically has been framed as a threat. If they keep doing that people might notice how absurd the idea that those women are a threat to large, healthy young male humans are is.

I would add, when women act in (or even declare their intention) to defend themselves from male violence, it is considered an offensive act.

No of course I haven't seen it. The first I heard about it was the article you linked - where even the person defending him wasn't that sure. And nothing in that article made me feel any sympathy for the man or want to check his video out. I suspect Graham Linehan was completely on the money.

The point is joke or not he said it. And that offended some people. So they complained about his actual words.
Linda Bellos did not say what the 'evidence' of her seemed to claim, it was some of her words taken away from others which changed the meaning of what she had said. This was deliberately done by someone else. In order for people to take offence at her words, they had to get rid of the rest of her speech. Which is completely different to taking offence to the actual words that pug guy spoke.

Wherever you stand on pug guy's right to free speech - the Linda Bellos case is not the same thing - and people cannot be held responsible when a third party edits their words. And no judge has ruled that they can.
However this is now a complete derail and I apologise to all other posters.

I'm going to assume that this will play out the same way Posie Parker's interview under caution did. The CPS will not make charges.
