It's showing up now.

There are a lot of trans threads on Feminist Chat at the moment (the vast majority on the first two pages right now are), however if there has been a decision to take them off Active, it does perhaps 'risk' them being more frequently started on other boards

It hasn't shown up for me in either mobile or desktop and I don't recall seeing any Feminism Chat threads showing in Active this evening

what are the criteria for a thread, say from aibu, getting into active conversations.

I know that sen threads are hidden from active for some reason.

It is not showing up on the 100 threads with new messages.

I've noticed FWR threads that come up with a search, when you try to click on them, you get the biscuit.

But when you actually manually look through FWR - the thread is still there.

Why on earth are SEN threads not shown in active?

Maybe this is for evenings only?

There’s threads in Active (multiple style and beauty ones!) that haven’t been posted on for a hour. My very recent post to Feminism chat is not showing in Active. Eh? Why not?

I have reported this thread to @MNHQ with the following text:

The OP is right, there should be at least 2 FWR threads in active based on their most recenbt posting time. Can you explain what's going on here?

This is a bit weird.

People noticed SEN threads were missing from active too. Maybe it's a glitch?

I've noticed this the last two days. Could be a tactic to prevent people stumbling onto threads and then complaining about them.

SEN threads are deliberately not shown in active, because they were attracting a load of trolls. Unbelievable, but there you go.It was decided to try and give people posting about their dc's SENs a bit more privacy- it's a very supportive place.

OTBT (Off the beaten track) also doesn't show up in active, or google searches.

SEN is missing from active (I think) because parents would start a thread re their child and people would come along and say it's not a problem, it doesn't matter that your child can't write age 7.

It happened years ago with the consent of parents.

I know people on the site have complained about the FWR board always being trans, MN are being pressured for allowing talk re the consequence of Self ID, so....

SEN hasn't been in active for years as far as I'm aware. I recall a thread years ago where parents were asking for it not to show in active due to unsupportive comments from parents of Neurotypical children.

As MN are under pressure from MN users and external groups to close down the threads on FWR, I presume that's why threads aren't showing in active

I don't think some of the education threads are showing either. But can't remember which topics I've hidden, so that might be just me

But hiding FWR is not a solution to ‘too many trans threads’ in FWR in a site where anyone can start a thread in on whatever they want. (..Not saying that you’re saying it is)

It could be a response to TRA calls to silence women, but I thought MN wanted to allow this discussion? Many of us have literally no other place to discuss this.

No, I'm wrong. The education thread is now on active, although I wasn't twenty minutes ago. I'm hiding lots of threads, but this one isn't appearing in my active.

could someone tell me what FWR stands for please?
