LM has changed the name of their twitter account, deleted all previous posting history and unblocked lots of users.

Has tweeted (in response to someone else) that non-one has spoken to them about online behaviour.

LM did get in a twitter spat after comparing trans struggles to racism and slavery and got a lot of previous supporters complaining. LM did issue a twitter apology about this then took a twitter break and has resurfaced with this new "clean" account.

So not sure what's happened here.

I would hope maybe a degree of self reflection.

As ever, let's make sure any posts are not offensive please.

I have a copy of the TerfBlocker list. It contains twitter names and some real names.
Allegedly it was created by Aimee Challoner of the Greens and was freely available on twitter until very recently when it seems to have disappeared.
Allegedly LM was using the same list. Aimee has said there are 50,000 twitter accounts on it.

LM is not using that terfblocker list because I have been on that list for a while but have never been blocked by LM.

Am surprised by the nativity on this thread regarding the Mumsnet response. Mumsnet forums is a business and the reason these discussions are allowed to stand will be that they bring user traffic to the site. The point at which lost advertising revenue exceeds revenue from the discussions from new user traffic it brings is when the discussions will be shut down, not some mythical line in the sand that needs to be crossed. That’s why they can’t tell you where the line is...

Thegirlinthefireplace Really? Which of LM's twitter feeds are you talking about? I believe that when LM deleted his previous twitter account with the allegedly incriminating posts, there was a gap before applying the blocker to the new fresh account.
Interesting twitter thread at the moment about a comedian who has apparently blocked 500,00 'Nazis'. This person has blocked me. I have never communicated with this person. I am not a Nazi.
I am also blocked by LM even though I have never communicated with them. I can trace this back to the exact time I was blocked by Aimee Challoner.

Just a thought - in addition to losing 'incriminating' tweets, could someone close a twitter account to disguise the fact that they had used TerfBlocker?
It seems that there are concerns re the legality of this list.

Do these figures not tell you these lists are created by a random scatter- gun approach? Who do you think is going to trawl through these? Employers? I am an employer- we do not check our employees' private social media accounts, far less check random block lists to see if someone is on it.

There does seem to have been some coordination with the TerfBlocker list. When it failed recently AC and LM felt the effects even though they are from different parties.
I am now not blocked by LM.
Very, very interested in why this person seems to have junked the list along with her old account...

I suspect they have blocked 49,000 bots, 600 people who have no part or interest in this debate, some journalists and media types and their mums. I think in in reality they've actually blocked 150 people, most of them being awful enough to question the TRA narrative.

I'm not minimising any risks to those real people on the block list in any way, just suggesting the 50,000 boast is hollow at best.

Do you have proof of that? Which employer is going to trawl through 10s or even 100s of thousands of names on lists which have no official standing and are created by goodness knows who?

I hope you have also reported the Labour Against Transphobia group, and all the TRAs who have been targetting members of WPUK and other feminist campaigners for harassment.

Please consider how the response to LM has been used (with or without their knowledge) to provoke, build blocklists, discredit, strengthen attempts to #nodebate...
