Lily Madigan - Twitter Update

LM has changed the name of their twitter account, deleted all previous posting history and unblocked lots of users.

Has tweeted (in response to someone else) that non-one has spoken to them about online behaviour.

LM did get in a twitter spat after comparing trans struggles to racism and slavery and got a lot of previous supporters complaining. LM did issue a twitter apology about this then took a twitter break and has resurfaced with this new "clean" account.

I would hope maybe a degree of self reflection.

Haven't read all the pages, so it might have been posted already but Miranda Yardley unveiled many of the posts with misoginistic comments on here mirandayardley.com/en/how-transgender-ideology-is-destroying-the-labour-party/

Maybe someone from the Labour Party, or their more reflexive self has said, stop using TERF, and now is all transphobe!

I just want to allude to a pp that was referring to LM responding that some tweets were taken "out of context".

We need to remember that this works both ways.

Its known that TRA's lurk on these threads.

When posting its important to consider how what you write could be perceived, as an isolated post.

Imagine it as a single screenshot with a quote above from a TRA - what would they say?

It's a reason why it's often worth quoting a pp you disagree with in bold to show the context of what you are arguing.

The commitment by the Labour Party to disregard material reality and facts and even eject members guilty of being members of the reality based community seems a bit extreme. Does anyone think some peeps have gone rogue?

I’d guess this attempt to clean up their more ranty, unpleasant and downright nonsensical claims is likely more due to the very recent Times article. LM has also hinted at police action in regards to comments etc that have been directed at Lily. Who knows what’s round the corner. Also possible thst the LP have had a word. It’s most likely demage limitation.

I just don't think LM has the maturity, wisdom, flair and skills to be in politics. Same goes for being an officer of any group. Absolutely out of their depth.

Well I don't think The Times is picking on LM with that photo, the one of MY is similarly bad. Both photos look as if they've been enlarged from smaller low-res images.

Lily has an official role Lily is the "women's officer" (whatever that means- I have no idea) of a Labour party constituency somewhere.

This thread is my third Trans unpeak moment of the week.

I feel I need to just quickly comment that people's reasons for referring to a TIM as "he" are varied. I don't do it to be "goady". I use normal make pronouns for male people because I speak standard English.

All that's happening as far as I'm concerned, is that I'm not lying. It's not an effort to goad, I'm speaking normally.

Gloating about compiling political hit lists, having women expelled, taking women's rights and privacy, while demanding to be called "woman" ? That's goady.

Lass, I think the concern with the block list is that they might be doxxed but dint know for sure.

Madigan posted a 'block list' of twitter accounts and where possible people's real names and identifying data.

These threads were about the issues that because so many violent crimes are being reported as being committed by women, when they are actually men - a concern surely all women have?

The thread about the court case in France where an intersex person has been denied the right to have something other than male or female on official documents.

Nothing to do with Trans then.

LM published a list of names of people that are supposedly trans phobic, including their real names. When these people have never even been in communication with LM? If LM wants to publish MY name - when all I am concerned with is the rights of women and girls - then why am I not allowed to comment on LM's actions?

Personally I think threads about LM just continue the LM narrative of being the most got at person ever...I think it would be best to stop giving them airtime.

On the times website, both images are combined into one - at a guess, they applied a filter to the whole thing to brighten it (Lilly's was very dark) and Miranda's dark hat meant that the balancing lightened Lilly's face more.

So the twitter feed is back, but with no tweets before Feb this year. Any tweets related to TERFs are gone (except one that may also disappear soon) the discussion on black women gone, the references to autism and schizophrenia are gone. The comment about working in a refuge, gone. Just a few anti racist tweets.

So anyone reading that Times article, going on Twitter to see what Lily has said will just get this gas lighted version of history that will make MY look like an unprovoked attack.

How is this ok?
