This is the petition asking the government to consult with women on the proposals to enshrine gender identity in law.

If people consider the issue properly and decide they support gender self ID I will accept that. I'm concerned we're being bounced in to this without many people considering the implications or realising what it is.

I was surprised at Brighton too.

FrustratedDotCom · 12/03/2018 16:53

Signed and shared all over Twitter!!

VaguelyAware · 12/03/2018 16:58

Ooh, my constituency is quite gender critical... I wonder if any of you live near me?

Melamin · 12/03/2018 17:03

Brighton is probably more aware so will have people both sides of the fence.

My constituency is a bubble in the arse end and they are clueless. I suspect that if it got mainstream they would be gender critical.

Springtrolls · 12/03/2018 17:04

Can I ask a question?
I have just read on a group I belong to where this has been shared that people were already asked to consult on the changes
It’s also claimed that self ID has been in Scotland for over 10 years.
Any truth in the above?

Patodp · 12/03/2018 17:05

Walthamstow 11 signatures MP Stella Creasey!

High result compared to neighbouring London constituencies. Grin

Patodp · 12/03/2018 17:06

Springtrolls

Scotland haven't introduced Self-ID yet it's still under consultation.

KennDodd · 12/03/2018 17:13

Has anybody had any fall out from sharing this?

seafoodeatit · 12/03/2018 17:13

9 signatures in my constituency.

I've also donated to the legal fees for free speech crowdfunder and I hope others continue to do so too.

YesItsADebate · 12/03/2018 17:17

There was some sort of consultation before the select committee made their report, but they only consulted TRAs Hmm

Scotland’s online consultation on self ID only closed a week or so ago.
