So, hands up if you have been blocked by LM on Twitter?

Due to the fact that I have never actually had any contact with LM, and had only liked (or did the heart thing - I'm a bit Twitter illiterate) 2 comments on a Twitter feed (1 - very politely pointed out that LM has not actually spoken about a single women's issue since being in the role and 2 - pointed out, again politely, that LM seems to be more interested in trans issues than women's issues).. I'm going to assume it doesn't take much to be blocked by LM.

I have never posted anything derogatory or even commented on anything to do with LM On Twitter.

Have I managed to be no platformed without actually saying a word? Hmm

Are we supposed to pretend that you are not?
Can you mandate belief?
Can you codify into law the idea that some people can mind over matter themselves out of material reality and into the opposite sex, and must be treated accordingly?
It is like transubstantiation. A belief that no one actually believes.
Will you allow people to drug and mutilate children based on this belief that no one believes?

LM was elected to the position she holds on a mandate of, among other things, promoting the rights of transwomen. She is therefore fulfilling the role she was elected to do

There's a trans officer (who was elected at exactly the same time as LM) whose mandate is to promote the rights of transwomen (and transmen). LM's mandate is to support women in the Labour Party in that constituency and to be the voice of women when the CLP is considering policies and processes, which causes to champion, what representations to make to the Labour Party HQ etc etc.

I appreciate that LM has put themselves out into the public arena through their political activism, and I am absolutely not justifying their behaviour in that role, which has been deeply inappropriate at times. However, I am concerned that LM is a vulnerable young person some of whose statements suggest that they may be suffering from mental health issues. I think that LM is an easy target for the witty women of MN, and that we should focus our criticism on the people who convinced a child, possibly an autistic child, that they were actually a different gender to that of their physical sex.

I think Labour Party members here who are being purged at Madigan's instigation are capable of being critical of the medical practitioners who are encouraging transitioning children at the same time they try to stop Madigan from harming any more women.

Look at this motion that is passing in CLPs to resolve that "transwomen" are women and to report and expel any who do not submit. They voted for it along with a number of other constituencies so the purge of women from the Labour Party is under way.

I don't comment on L M - it's a car crash waiting to happen. The Labour Party should be utterly ashamed of itself.
They are using him - as soon as L M falls apart they will the first to back off.

I’ve just been blocked. I questioned a tweet about equality and asked why they don’t talk about women’s issues, only trans. I suppose I asked for it, and at least I don’t have to see their tweets now.
I think I got away with it before now because my twitter name is something that might be construed as a trans name when actually it relates to where I live Confused
