I’m a woman.

Not a “cis woman”. Just a woman. Sometimes I wear makeup, sometimes I don’t. I can put the bins out and I can cook...sometimes I don’t fancy doing either.

I have opinions and I like to express them.

Stop taking posts down MNHQ!!! Let us speak, on the safe forum that is Mumsnet. That is all.

Let’s see how long this one stays up...

I am sick to death with the silencing of female voices today on FWR.

Stop silencing us!

Capelin · 04/02/2018 20:31

I am a woman.

I rarely wear make up and I find heels uncomfortable. I enjoy cooking and dislike sewing. I’m good at maths and I can parallel park, but I’m rubbish at map reading. I’ve given birth to and breast fed three babies.

AreYouOrHaveYouEverBeenATERF · 04/02/2018 20:33

Oh- what's going on? Have Mike & his bro-mates got to HQ? WOuldn't be the first time.

StinkPickle · 04/02/2018 20:33

WHat the hell was something deleted? Shock

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 04/02/2018 20:33

Yet another thread gets taken down.

MNHQ is not helping my anger at this fucking silencing of women speaking the truth.

I AM A WOMAN.

I WILL NOT BE SILENCED.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 04/02/2018 20:36

I AM A WOMAN.

I wear trousers and t shirts
I shave my head.
I never, ever wear dresses, skirts, heels or lipstick
I ride motorbikes and fix them.
I can ride a half pipe on a BMX.

I have also...
Given birth
Breastfed for 3 years
Had horrendous and debilitating periods

I AM A WOMAN.

AreYouOrHaveYouEverBeenATERF · 04/02/2018 20:36

Will we have to Spartacus again?

I'm Spartacus, I am a woman, a penis is not female, there is no such thing as a male lesbian.

Transwomen are transwomen.

wiccamum · 04/02/2018 20:37

Once again, yes StinkPickle.
We laydeez were all getting our panties in a pickle about women with penises...who are men...and then defining gender....and then TAATAAT. Then we all just disappeared down the rabbit hole and I just needed to remind myself that I AM A WOMAN (exhales gently)

OP posts:
SmurfOrTerf · 04/02/2018 20:39

Stink a thread, and 2 TAAT's were taken down

wiccamum · 04/02/2018 20:40

I have just had to have a strong word with myself, about feeling guilty about defending my female gender. I’m just so fucking tired of it. I want to feel like my choice of dress, career, education and motherhood are enough for me. I don’t want to have to apologise for them because someone who isn’t a woman ( nor considers themselves a man) thinks I am offending them.

I’m tired. And I’m a woman

OP posts:
Ekphrasis · 04/02/2018 20:42

The second taat was a hoot! But quite seriously my eyes are opening to how women are silenced left right and centre. Not just here. Bloody bbc.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 04/02/2018 20:44

Will we have to Spartacus again?

Yep.

It's like some fucking dystopian groundhog day.

WHat the hell was something deleted?

Yeah.....

The feelz of poor MRAS TRAs is much more fucking important than actual rights of women.

Coz ya know.......penis.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 04/02/2018 20:45

I am getting angrier by the fucking minute tbh.

Freshlylaidterf · 04/02/2018 20:48

Me too. I can hardly concentrate on anything else. Have too keep looking here to see what happening

powershowerforanhour · 04/02/2018 20:48

I'm a woman and I no Y.

Evening everyone. Just popping by to reassure you that the last thing we want to do is silence anyone. We always try to allow debate to flow freely here.

We do currently have a thread taken down temporarily as it had a landslide of reports and we felt we needed to hit the pause button while we went through them and looked at the whole thread more carefully - we promise there's nothing sinister going on there though. We do sometimes do this to this just to give us time to look through reports.

We will have to delete any TAATs we're afraid but as long as that's not happening and folk are posting within Talk Guidelines we've no concerns at all.

BonjourMinou · 04/02/2018 20:55

I am a woman.
A human being no less different or capable than any man.

I know i'm a woman because i happen to have been born with a uterus and ovaries, a vulva and a vagina.

I have grown and breastfed 2 babies, i am currently gestating a third.

Woman is a biological reality. A fact. That's it. Not a feeling to be identified into.

I am spartacus and i am angry!

wiccamum · 04/02/2018 21:00

I am a woman

This is an entirely independent thread.

I like to wear dresses, but not heels. I breastfed my dd, but only managed 6 months when I wanted to do it for 12.

I get menstrual headaches mid-cycle. And I talk to my dogs in a mockney accent because I think they like it.

I am angry and sad. I feel threatened often.

OP posts:
NauticalDisaster · 04/02/2018 21:01

I am not Spartacus, he is an alleged rapist and I do no align myself with that.

I am a women though and mightily pissed off.

Sometimes, when a FWR has an influx of GFs/MRAs/TRAs, it is good to let us blow off steam. Humour helps. The taataataataataat was humouring us, it should have stood.

🎶 we're not gonna take it, no we ain't take it 🎶

GoodyHumbygge · 04/02/2018 21:03

I was a Spartacus before and I am Spartacus still.

There is no such thing as a female penis.

I, as a woman, am more than a feeling in a man's head.

Womanhood is material reality, not ethereal identity.

Justabunchofcunts · 04/02/2018 21:03

Thanks mumsnet. Have loved mumsnet for a long time but only realised the bigger value of a space like this recently. Suspect I am not the only one.

Ekphrasis · 04/02/2018 21:04

I am a woman.

I know as I feel the kicks inside me from my second child.

And my vuval varicose veins are killing me.

I've breastfed a child for 3.5 years (not sure how that happened).

And I like sci fi.
I'm not afraid of spiders or rats or bats.
I like make up but I hate shaving my legs.

I love trousers and jeans but have to wear tunics/ dresses as the spd from my first pregnancy never fully went away.

AreYouOrHaveYouEverBeenATERF · 04/02/2018 21:05

Thanks HebeMumsnet

Gawd - if we can't talk about it on Mumsnet, where can we?

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 04/02/2018 21:07

I know I can't, and I'm not the kind of person who thinks I have the right to other peoples private information

Buuuuuttt...

I'd be really interested to know if the reports came from either

a) Genuine MNers concerned about feeding a troll

or
b) TRAs/ handmaidens

Because the incredibly cynical me thinks that it was the latter.

The hopeful me want's it to be the former, though I still think it was wrong to delete it.
