Evening, TERFs.

PracticallyTerfectInEveryWay · 24/01/2018 23:23

Evening all. Like the new names.

AngryAttackKittens · 24/01/2018 23:23

It will be amusing to see the response from the judge if Tara tries Tumblr style "it's OK to punch TERFs because they're not human" arguments in court.

Gileswithachainsaw · 24/01/2018 23:25

Checking in for the updates Smile

NotTerfNorCis · 24/01/2018 23:41

Loving the new names!

TheVastMajority · 24/01/2018 23:58

did you read this? If they have copied stuff from your social media page without permission, they may well be in serious trouble with the ICO. Again.

Hello my lovelies.

Some good news, I hope. I attended my branch meeting this evening and raised the issue of the witch-hunt. Most of the members hadn’t heard anything about self-ID so I swiftly filled them in, resulting in general outrage. There was much hilarity among some of the older and burlier members proposing each other for various women’s offices and general disbelief that this is what their Labour Party is supporting. One lovely old gent remarked on how nice it was to be discussing such a big political issue Smile The disclosure of members’ details was treated very seriously and the whole lot is being raised with the CLP secretary and at the GC and borough meetings this week. It was unanimously agreed that self-ID is wrong and that doxing, threats etc. should be a police matter. The more experienced members also recommended reporting the List to the members’ hotline, which I’ll investigate.

YesIt
Thats so cheering in this sea of madness.

Chchchchangeabout · 25/01/2018 00:21

How do you name change again?

Chchchchangeabout · 25/01/2018 00:28

That's fabulous Yes! Really cheering. Have you seen this from A Women's Place - draft CLP motion:

ReappearingWoman · 25/01/2018 00:29

On the mobile app it's easy - just go to my Mumsnet top right & you just type a new name in. SimplesSmile

Justabunchofcunts · 25/01/2018 00:32

Also name changed. Hello lovely ladies.

PollyCotton · 25/01/2018 00:43

I NC too, because we can self-ID as anything we like, right?!

pamish · 25/01/2018 01:32

@chchchc that motion needs to add something about AWS for use in LP meetings.

Terfinater · 25/01/2018 01:39

Nc too. Love Kissmaicis and cismyfatarse.

LefkosiaTigers · 25/01/2018 05:05

I don't understand how anyone could listen to Tara/Tanis talk about violence against trans without laughing in his face.

So tired of this misogyny. And sadly, after cases like Ched Evans, Worboys and so many more, I have zero faith in the justice system.

AngryAttackKittens · 25/01/2018 05:14

Let's see him try to sell the idea that he was scared that the older woman he attacked would hurt him.

I'm torn between being cautiously optimistic, because it's a pretty good test case in terms of seeing if Tumblr/Twitter rhetoric is credible to regular members of the public when stated in real life by a person who they can clearly see is not the dainty little flower they're framing themselves as, and feeling life if they let Worboys off so lightly someone would have to literally murder a small child right in front of the judge for them to admit that some men are dangerous.

CisterSledge · 25/01/2018 05:23

Evening all. Or morning.

PocketCoffeeEspresso · 25/01/2018 05:35

The video of the attack, where he then turns to the two women (from his side) who seemed to be trying to suggest he stopped being so aggressive was pure threatening male - "don't you dare try to tell me what to do or it's your turn next" - the looming posture etc.

No-one watching that video can be under any illusion what his intentions were, and who was the aggressor.

Yes.. namechange time.. tapps chin thoughtfully..

Cwenthryth · 25/01/2018 05:40

Hello..... I don’t think I posted on the first thread as it was so fast moving I was just catching up the whole time, and I’m not a Labour Party member. Fantastic news that the attacker at Speaker’s Corner has been charged. I expect there will be protests outside the hearing - is anyone in touch with Maria/her supporters to join the ‘End Violence Against Women’ side?

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 25/01/2018 05:42

Tara is the skinny one in the camo hoody I think. Not the tall man with the dark ponytail.

AngryAttackKittens · 25/01/2018 05:43

You know the cliche about a picture being worth a thousand words? I hope the more, um, colorful looking TIMs do turn up and protest.

Tara is the one in the gaudy leggings.

thebewilderness · 25/01/2018 06:32

The more angry trans identified males stand outside the court and chant "burn it down" the way they did while the women were meeting the better.

AngryAttackKittens · 25/01/2018 06:42

Is threatening to burn down the court contempt of court, legally speaking? I assume we're about to find out.

Goldmonday · 25/01/2018 06:45

Quite late to the party!!!! Is it totally unreasonable that I am considering no longer voting for labour over this? Have always seen them as the lesser of evils, but now am not sure
