Okay. You guys know I’m a Blairite. I’ll just sit in the corner and eat some babies. 😂 Respectfully notes and yes, let’s not get dragged on tangents.

Whinberry · 25/01/2018 17:27

Ever considered standing as independents instead of protest votes? Time is right for a new centrist party.

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 25/01/2018 17:34

If anyone with insider information wanted to share more about the Haringey situation I would be very interested.

RedToothBrush · 25/01/2018 17:36

I'm at the point id consider it, if there were a new centre party. As an independent, no. Its so much work to stand. With no support, its a waste of time.

OnTheList · 25/01/2018 17:44

I think it's important for people who would normally vote labour to continue to do so. Please don't let them win on this, we can't let them push people out of the party and turn it into an anti feminist echo chamber.

Absolutely no chance of me voting Labour whilst all of this nonsense is going on. The first thing they would do is bring in self-ID. Give the Tories their dues, they did postpone it once concerns were brought to their attention, Labour would not consider this at all.

If Labour win the next election, THAT is letting 'them' win. Them being rabid transactivists and deluded 'transgender' penis people.

As a disabled person I could never vote Tory, and I do feel a bit like by not voting at all its letting the Tories back in, but I cannot vote for Labour in its current state.

LadyDickHead · 25/01/2018 17:50

I've been following since thread 1 but didn't post, so clocking in on this one following a name change (I was surprised this name was still available Grin)

Justabunchofcunts · 25/01/2018 17:51

Yes Onthelist, I feel the same. Although if voting Tory stopped self-identifying becoming law I would seriously consider it. If it came in, that's a huge rights blow to around 50% of members of every vulnerable group. It would also be very very hard to reverse. This vs 4 years of Tories until another guaranteed general election. I would have to seriously consider going blue for that one.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 25/01/2018 17:58

Name-changed. Surprised this hadn't been snaffled.

CorbynTrouserPress · 25/01/2018 18:05

Name changed. It felt like a 'pressing' urgency....

boatyardblues · 25/01/2018 18:20

I would vote for current Labour MP if she stood as an independent. She does a decent job and doesn’t always toe the party line.

TheNerevarine · 25/01/2018 18:55

Delurking to say I have just checked Twitter and Jennifer James has been suspended from the Labour Party.

TheNerevarine · 25/01/2018 18:58

Have very recently peak-transed thanks to you lot and this whole fucked up business has me sickened. They really don't give a fuck about women do they? Beyond awful

catgirl1976 · 25/01/2018 18:58

Wtf TheNevevarine?

That is appalling.

How can we support her? I hope she sues them so hard their teeth rattle

therealposieparker · 25/01/2018 19:01

This is going to get much worse, I have this on good authority.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 25/01/2018 19:03

This is going to get much worse

For who?

Freshlylaidterf · 25/01/2018 19:04

Poor Jennifer. Anyone on twitter to message support? Actually didnt someone post her email address recently or did i dream that? Nc btw.

LangCleg · 25/01/2018 19:08

Where the centre of gravity of every party now stands is NOT fixed at all. They are moving more than they have in a long time.

I agree. So much is in flux at the moment. Brexit of course. And wherever you stand on public spending, it's becoming clear that the way the Tories have gone about it is not working - no money has been saved because all the cuts in particular departments have just shifted to other department budgets. So all departments are in crisis at the same time. There's been a lot of spending a pound to save a penny.

I think there is a lot to play for before we arrive at a new political consensus for the Tories to go slightly one side of and Labour slightly the other side. Transgender issues might seem niche but given the context of shifting sands, political parties need to be shown which are the lines in the sand for which demographics. And I think they will take notice.

Mner · 25/01/2018 19:18

Noooo! Poor Jennifer james... bastards! Off to twitter...

TheNerevarine · 25/01/2018 19:24

Think this:

mobile.twitter.com/sambailey1976/status/956607385396707329

is an excellent idea.

QuentinSummers · 25/01/2018 19:27

Well this is bizarre. Perhaps they are hoping that suspending the Women makes them ineligible for standing on the AWS and therefore no discrimination case possible as it needs a named individual.
I hope there are other women prepared to take this forward within the party.

Freshlylaidterf · 25/01/2018 19:28

Sounds good but wont the money be needed for the AWS fight. Maybe enough to do both?

Karen Ingala Smith has donated to the go fund me. I love that woman.

Mner · 25/01/2018 19:35

I'm definitely going to donate again after payday.

KissMaCis · 25/01/2018 19:37

4000 antisemitism hate speech cases still not dealt with. Women countering and debating a post modern theory, that negates science, they jump up like jack out his box. Shameful.
