Lily Madigan and Aisling Musson are asking for 'screenshots and evidence of transphobic behaviour' so they can make Labour 'a truly safe space for all members regardless of their gender identity or lack thereof.' In other words, doxxing people so they can be thrown out of the party for gender-critical views.

The group write-up is:

A group formed to oppose the rising tide of Transphobia in the UK Labour Party and to seek to make the Party a truly safe space for all members regardless of their gender identity or lack thereof.

PLEASE READ THE PINNED POST

If you have screenshots and evidence of transphobic behaviour please put them in the google drive folder rather than offloading them straight into the group as it may otherwise be overwhelming and trans members should have the option to not have to look at upsetting comments.

Do not add anyone unless you are sure that they:

  1. Are a member of the Labour Party
  2. Believe the basis of gender is self-definition
  3. Think that transphobia is grounds for expulsion from the party
  4. Respect the autonomy of trans people to direct the fight against transphobia (I.e will not take decisions against the will of trans people)

If you are a trans and/or non binary person and you would like to be added to the secret group (trans/nb people only) please message lily madigan or aisling musson and we will add you.

Rules:

  • No advocacy for violence, threats of violence of other illegal acts (quite apart from the morality of it, please do not get this group shut down)
  • This is a not a discourse group. If you do not agree that transphobia is bad, that the Labour party has it and that we should fight it, this is not a group for you.
  • Be respectful. As far as possible, please always be friendly, respectful and comradely and treat others as you would wish to be treated.
-No members of other parties.
  • TERF is not a slur.

Why would someone make it up surely it would come out that it was made up.

This is what makes me so angry about the whole thing. It makes me feel like I’m being gaslit, a very familiar feeling that makes me feel panicky. When someone bold lies like that it makes you feel completely powerless and it’s a cruel thing to do to the women you’re supposed to be representing.

DearSergio · 22/01/2018 08:36

How on earth is lily still playing the " I'm young and vulnerable and therefore I cannot be criticised because I'm too fragile " card Angry as pp have said, lily is 20!! At 20 I was living alone, with two children and recovering from psychosis, I didn't expect people to tip the around me and monitor their words and thoughts incase they offended me. Why are so many grown adults pandering to them? Their tweet feed is sickening.

Whinberry · 22/01/2018 08:37

Been reading and I am confused. Lm is a labour party woman's officer but in response to this thransphobe list stuff she says 'it wasn't me, I only set up a secret group was to denigrate biological woman.' How us that a reasonable thing for a woman's officer to do regardless of whether it was cover for something else?

RedToothBrush · 22/01/2018 08:45

Whinberry, one is a slap on the wrist by party HQ. The other is a criminal offence which can involve the police.

I think that shows you what they think of Labour and how they think they can do what they like within the party without consequence from the party and just how far they think they can push it.

It also shows that they think Labour won't deal with this internally and they will be able to continue and that the only thing they really fear is the law. Which they claim is on 'their side' and its the other side who are to blame.

It needs to go legal now imho.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/01/2018 08:46

I think Lily and their compatriots think that the purge of wrong thinking people from the Labour Party is a moral duty, and their noble quest. I think Lily may think that the Labour Party might supports Lily's actions.

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 08:46

Yy deadly - I bought my house at 19 (and this wasn't way back in the black and white years either, it was mid 00's)

Stupid fucker forgot to delete his comments. Oh dearie

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 08:49

Now I'm quite sure that evidence proves that females brains mature faster than males, but obviously - as lily claims to have a female brain - that's not an excuse for lily...

badbadhusky · 22/01/2018 08:53

Given the party officer’s casual approach to data protection legislation this demonstrates, these activists have guaranteed that I will never donate to or join the Labour Party. Aside from the aithoritarian ‘thought crime’ bent to this incident, it shows shambolic management practices and a callous disregard for individual members’ privacy and safety. It is absolutely outrageous.

badbadhusky · 22/01/2018 08:58

Incidentally, a colleague received a formal warning in my organisation for a much more minor data protection infraction, one that pales into insignificance alongside this absolute howler.

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 08:58

What were those qualifiers for libel again? The fact that any reasonable person could come to the same conclusion, and the fact that you have suffered financial detriment because of the claims?
Is that right or am I getting two different laws mixed up?

Good luck with that, lily. 😂

Geronimoleapinglizards · 22/01/2018 09:12

Can you imagine Mhairi Black behaving like this? She wasn't much older when she was elected.

Sparklingbells · 22/01/2018 09:16

And is it possible that the screenshots from inside the group were faked? - there are not that many sources...

They were most certainly not faked. I have the originals, as I screenshot them myself.

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 09:17

Mhairi's wiki
"When elected in May 2015, she was 20 years and 237 days old, making her the youngest ever Member of Parliament (MP) elected to the House of Commons of the United Kingdom since at least the Reform Act of 1832"

Whinberry · 22/01/2018 09:19

Red I get that she is trying to cover a crime but it is the choice of cover that amazes me.

LangCleg · 22/01/2018 09:23

Lily may well be only 20.

But there is a MASSIVE difference between suggesting there is no way back for a young person because of mistakes made in the hubris of youth, and not holding them to account or stepping in when their actions are harmful to others.

Once Lily has acknowledged he is in the wrong, THEN Lily can ask for forgiveness and rehabilitation.

I do not expect this to happen any time soon.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/01/2018 09:23

They were most certainly not faked. I have the originals, as I screenshot them myself

I had a moment of self-disclosing, but you're right - the evidence is there.

Screenshot of original group showing Lily as admin.

Screenshots from within group showing that Lily was interacting with the group, and in one screenshot talking about the "sabotage" of the spreadsheets. You can tell these are from within the Labour against Transphobia group from the backgrounds.

The spreadsheet was "owned" by one of the admins of the group and was being commented on by the infamous Adrie, (and other admins?)

The files on transgressors were also owned by one of the admins.

The spreadsheet and files were seen and screenshotted by multiple women.

I think screenshots from within the group were from more than one source?

I think it is deeply improbable that this is a set up.

meddie · 22/01/2018 09:23

Its so playground bullying.. "lets be friends and make a list of people that we dont like and are big fat meanies".

Only problem is, is that this is a political party and there are plenty of examples in history of how the manipulation of hangers on is used to carry out thought crime purges.
This is not the Labour party I support and its certainly not a Labour party I can support going forward. my membership has been cancelled.

MadamMinacious · 22/01/2018 09:23

That’s not a child on any level. Yes 20 year olds can do stupid things but she is not a teenager or a child, she is an adult. Lots of twenty tear olds have babies and jobs and homes to looks after, she is behaving like a child and we shouldn’t pander to it.

Yes! At 20 I was living away from home had 2 jobs and doing a degree. I'm not saying everything I did was brilliant, well thought out and right at that time but I was an adult and responsible for my own actions. Lily seems to have no trouble whatsoever being unkind to other people, no trouble making comments about 'pretty data' and no trouble creating groups to witch hunt. This isn't a child this is a pretty manipulative adult who seems to use other people to pay their way through life.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/01/2018 09:23

Self-disclosing = self doubt ffs

RedToothBrush · 22/01/2018 09:26

These are screen shots, but every person who took them is also a witness. So even if the screenshots can't be used as evidence, there are witnesses who can be cross examined.

That in itself could lead to some very difficult questions raised over data protection.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/01/2018 09:37

Sometimes I am almost convinced that Lily is deliberately trolling.

Lily should stop pissing about with photo filters and actually do something useful in her role as 'Women's' officer (for that read trans officer).

AnachronisticCorpse · 22/01/2018 09:40

I think the same.

It’s interesting reading Lily’s twitter, and the amount of people defending Lily against ‘all this dreadful abuse, hun’. Except, I haven’t actually seen any abuse toward Lily. Apparently the abuse consists of calling Lily out about the list/fb group.

MadamMinacious · 22/01/2018 09:40

God dammit - I meant *their not her
