So this is the official job description. And it says on the very first page "The women's officer must be a woman." And Liam Madigan has no female ID. And the Bill has not been amended (emended?) yet.

Ergo Liam Madigan, a man, should not be eligible for this role.

To be fair women’s officer on CLP is not a public office - it’s really akin to be on any charity committee - and there are way more dodgy and unpleasant people holding CLP officers roles - and if especially no one else stood for women’s officer there would be flexibility in the rules - just found out that LM is going to labour women’s network event tonight which I am too so that will be fun- will report back - if anyone else is going PM me😀

Just in case it needs saying, to get a grc you need to be (as I understand it)

• over 18
• having lived for two years as your "identified gender"
• diagnosis of dysphoria

But I have a question... As I understand it, those two years have to be as an adult? Is that right? In which case it is impossible for Lily to be legally female, being 19. Unless of course Lily only identifies as 19 🙄

But after the GRA is passed you won't need any of those things will you, you can just say you are a woman or a man and it will be a universal irrefutable truth? And you can considered for things like 'Women's Officer'?

It seems that Labour has already got going with it. If Lily has no ID as 'Lily' then surely he is still Liam ie. A man ie. Not an eligible candidate for a women's officer?

I struggle to believe that Lily has three jobs as well as university and the Labour Party post. I'm not saying it isn't possible to have three jobs (I had 4 when at university, neener neener) I just don't believe Lily has the discipline for it.

If the screenshot talks about not being able to afford rental deposits then it’s clearly not fundraising on behalf of the Labour Party.

The company I used to work for - not a political organisation - had an ethics code of conduct that made it mandatory to declare gifts with a value over £5, and barred employees from accepting gifts over a certain higher value. All about avoiding the company being brought into disrepute by questions being raised about bribery, or corruption etc etc.

How convenient that he 'doesn't know' how to set up a crowdfund (despite already having one ). Also doesn't know that Paypal offers fundraising where the amount is visible. But this way nobody can see how much money he's been given so he can keep begging.
