Sorry if this is on here already but just seen it on twitter.

It's this Wednesday in Brighton which may be too short notice for me but you can book here. www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/debate-not-hate-we-need-to-talk-about-gender-tickets-38129665857/amp

Hope that one goes ahead, trouble free.

JynOdan · 24/09/2017 11:04

I'm speechless. These women are amazing.

Rumandraisin1 · 24/09/2017 11:05

In case anyone else wasn't aware, Mayday 4 Women (which I'm pretty sure is the same group as the secret Facebook group that some Mumsnetters are part of) now has a twitter account "@GraDiscussion"

FlaviaAlbia · 24/09/2017 11:06

I wish this could be streamed online for women who aren't close to bath.

Ereshkigal · 24/09/2017 11:16

I'm speechless. These women are amazing.

They really are.

Datun · 24/09/2017 11:42

I'm going. Yes, they are amazing. And it's working.

Datun · 24/09/2017 11:43

But note they cannot put the venue yet. For fear that it will be attacked and forced to withdraw.

Ereshkigal · 24/09/2017 11:47

I can't go. Will definitely be at the next one, wherever it is.

Ereshkigal · 24/09/2017 11:48

Yes. It's bullying. Plain and simple.

Rumandraisin1 · 24/09/2017 11:55

Public Facebook page for the group:

TheWeeWitch · 25/09/2017 11:20

I’m going to go to the Brighton meeting too. I’ll try to post some video and photos here if I’m able to film on the day.

Mumsnut · 25/09/2017 11:55

I wish they would tweet / blog their experience of trying to find a venue / trying to find panellists to put the trans side / receipt of threats.

It would be revelatory to many .

Natsku · 25/09/2017 13:15

Hope there's no attacks at this one! Wish I could go, alas being in a different country doesn't help.

ohyesiknowwhatyoumean · 25/09/2017 13:32

Would have loved to have gone but have another appointment @10 am - couldn't get into Brighton before 12 🙁

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 26/09/2017 16:25

Bumping since this is tomorrow. I have just seen the line-up and it looks amazing. Wish I could go (but am at other end of country Sad)

Blanchefleur · 26/09/2017 16:46

I'm also at the other end of the country. Looking forward to hearing a report from those of you who can make it.

Yes, I would also be interested to hear whether it has been better or worse since the mainstream press reported the previous event.

Thelilywhite · 26/09/2017 17:43

Me too but so am I.

Datun · 26/09/2017 23:31

Just in case anyone's missed it, the venue tomorrow is The Grand Hotel, Brighton, starting at 11am.

DamsonGin · 27/09/2017 07:59

Hope it all goes smoothly.

PencilsInSpace · 27/09/2017 08:06

Good luck everyone who's going to this today. I wish I could be there.

blackistheneworange · 27/09/2017 09:17

Good luck to everyone today.

I agree I wish I could see the discussion. There is a series of clips on YouTube where they filmed a discussion/seminar on gender discussions. It would be great to have the same for this.

I hope it went well for all involved.

theendisnotnigh · 27/09/2017 09:50

Isn't it awful that we have to wish people good luck and are wondering whether everyone will remain safe and able to speak (at a Labour party event) ? Sad
I live in hope that women will be allowed to speak freely and our voices heard.

HemlockIsSpartacus · 27/09/2017 09:55

Gutted I can't be there, looking forward to hearing how it all goes though.

Blanchefleur · 27/09/2017 10:02

Yes, it's scary, isn't it? I wonder what the type and scale of any resistance will be, given that it will be done in front of journalists, TV cameras and politicians. Don't know whether that makes it more likely, or less likely?
