Has anyone seen this news story today? The irony that a mtt transgender goes off on one about race when the exact same thing can be said about men's privilege and society standing on the backs of women...
Sorry, just made me a bit Hmm

Or women going on about sexism when the same can be side about white privilege?

Aren't black people allowed to discuss white privilege if they come from the experience of being trans?

Biddlyboo · 01/09/2017 18:12

They are, but in this instance ALL white people were included in this "racism" including those who were fighting against the neo nazis at Charlottesville, and the white woman that died there.

ALL white people were included in this "racism

How is that different to male violence?

People use that on here a lot. Males as a class.
Why not white people 'as a class'?

Biddlyboo · 01/09/2017 18:23

But as soon as someone starts generalising about male violence etc, we get the NAMALT brigade come flying in. I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy. Do you not see it?

It's ok if you don't, I was genuinely curious of people's reactions.

OP posts:
orlantina · 01/09/2017 18:26

Do you not see it

I see people who are on a forum where people are more than happy to say 'males as a class are violent' getting upset about someone generalising about 'white people as a class'.

I find that ironic.

VestalVirgin · 01/09/2017 18:29

Wait what, an MTT claimed that white people are genetically inferior but doesn't acknowledge that his maleness with all it implies is genetic and unchangeable?

I think I have a headache now.

MotherPeresA · 01/09/2017 19:06

Yep. This happens a lot. Cherry-picking stances to suit the argument at the time. #NotAllWhiteWomen etc...

Meanwhile, there's the whole gendered pronouns and MTT Trans stuff - stances that makes TERFs bedfellows with Alt-Right fundamentalists and various other bigots.

Munroe is wrong, and wrong for the same reason that anyone's wrong when they talk about large numbers of people they've never met purely in terms of the class they belong to. That's an ideology that treats individuals differently, offering opportunities to some, and barriers to others.

Good luck trying to explain that though.

DJBaggySmalls · 01/09/2017 19:20

''Munroe Bergdorf reportedly wrote "all white people" are racist'' in a Facebook post.''
I think the key word is ''all''. Yes OP, I agree that its ironic that an MTT denies any benefits of male socialisation.

I dont think I am allied with the alt right, or a bigot. I know I support lesbians against the cotton ceiling. But hey ho, here we go again.

MotherPeresA · 01/09/2017 19:38

I dont think I am allied with the alt right, or a bigot.

Perhaps make a list of all the political groupings that deliberately refuse to use female pronouns for MTF transgenders.

Alt-right? Check.
TERFs? Check.

Who else?

SerfTerf · 01/09/2017 19:40

Good. Extremely pleased to hear that.

DJBaggySmalls · 01/09/2017 19:43

Knowing biology does not make anyone right wing.
But telling lesbians they are bigots because they refuse lady dick does make someone a rape apologist.

Ereshkigal · 01/09/2017 19:44

Perhaps you could refrain from using misogynistic slurs?

If this is directed to me, could you be clearer? Thank you.

BeyondLimitsAndWhatever · 01/09/2017 20:12

Mother, your phrase "mtf transgenders" is awfully dehumanising Hmm

Even evil terfs accept that they are people.

DJBaggySmalls · 01/09/2017 20:14

MotherPeresA
There are several recorded rapes by MTT's. The new gender ID rules means they are recorded as crimes committed by women.

MotherPeresA · 01/09/2017 20:15

If it is, I apologise. But I do wonder how that's the problematic bit on a thread where MTT and 'he' are used. Could you explain how the latter - which would surely be against the preferences of the individual concerned - is acceptable?

quencher · 01/09/2017 20:18

Sorry, just made me a bit
would it be different if a black woman said it based on race?

DJBaggySmalls · 01/09/2017 20:21

You are happy to use TERF but object to MTT?

MotherPeresA · 01/09/2017 20:24

There are several recorded rapes by MTT's. The new gender ID rules means they are recorded as crimes committed by women.

And you're saying that's demonstrative of anyone thinking that rape is ok is it? That seems a stretch. Your point seems to be on regarding piv rape as not being classed as piv rape. I get that. But it's not really got anything to do with the thread, or my original comment, and it really seems like derailing to me.

Can we discuss all the perfectly law-abiding people out there that have neither committed a rape, nor apologised for one. Or are we looking at people 'as a class' again?

Apart from bigots and TERFs, who else?
