I just don't get it at all.

Why do I see threads every day on MN which spout hatred and fear about the trans community. What's everyone so scared of??? Literally hundreds of posts of people talking like trans women are somehow a threat to biological women.

For a social platform which is meant to be friendly and approachable, this really stinks.

I called her out because she defended womanhood from a biological basis. That's not in any way acceptable, gender is much broader than that and you should know this.

Trans; they have male sports and female sports due to physiological differences. The mens are open to everyone. Muhammed Ali would never have had to declare himself a woman so he could compete with people who have a very different physiology to win a match (and as a gentleman would never have considered it!). An inferior boxer who can't beat his own kind would. That is the entire 'success' of trans in sports.

Women are biological realities. You playing dress up does not make you one.

Womanhood rests on biological fact. Woman means "adult human female".

Gender is a load of socially constructed boxes to slot people into - traditionally only two, assigned by biological sex (see why sex matters?), but now more according to people like yourself. Gender stereotypes change over time, and in different places. Gender is not an inherant "thing", it's made up. Biological sex is constant. We are all here due to a male and a female mating and producing us.

Whatever. Have your little theories and definitions that mean people have to surgically alter their bodies and sterilise themselves, if you must. But you'll have to come up with some new words, because "woman", "female" etc. are already taken. Ta.
