Gender Critical MNers Gathering Together On Twitter.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 10/03/2017 19:43

Creating this thread for those who want to follow/share/connect/engage with other gender critical MNers on Twitter after the suggestion was made on this thread to group together there to raise awareness of our concerns around the possibility of gender self identity replacing gender reassignment in the uk and trans ideology etc.

If you'd like to take part then please Pm me your Twitter name, over the weekend I will compile a list of MNers Twitter names and PM them back out to everyone on Monday. As it'll be an ongoing thing, I will add other Twitter handles that are sent after Monday and send updated lists via PM. Only your Twitter name will be given to other MNers and I won't share your MN username alongside your Twitter account with anyone.

If you know of any other public Twitter profiles that are openly gender critical such as Magdelan Burns, please feel free to share their Twitter names too and I shall add to the list.

Before you sign up for Twitter you will need an email or phone number for verification.
Understandably, many don't feel safe linking personal phone number or personal emails to gender critical posts so it might be best to create a separate email address for social media sites etc where you want to speak about concerns raised in the other threads. Gmail, outlook, yahoo are three sites off the top of my head that provide free web based email accounts.

When you click on sign up in Twitter it will give the option of signing up with a mobile number as a default but if you scroll down a little, there's an option to "use email instead"

Following this link should take you to the sign up page with the email option already selected.

If you are worried about your IP address being used to locate you, you can use VPN (Virtual Private Network) software/services that camouflage your actual IP and make it look as if you are accessing the Internet from elsewhere. I use an Android app called VPN master which can be downloaded from google play and once installed, it's just a case of opening app and and switching it on and accessing Internet as usual. You can have the VPN running all the time but it can drain battery so I open app and turn back off after using. There should be similar apps for iOS and Windows, I will link them in later post if I get time.

I can create a bunch of email and Twitter accounts for people if they are struggling, but wont be able to do it until Monday. I'll be less active online over the weekend but wanted to get the thread up so that people can start PMing their Twitter names.

I don't know Wobbly. The phone number will not be visible to be public though but is still a risk re hacking as before. Small risk, but still there

Thisisouting · 12/03/2017 14:00

wobbly yes you can delete in settings once your account is set up.

cooljazz yes I can post which link each day.
I might need some help with suggestions if anyone wants to PM me with anything they find/ already know about. Particularly LBGT things I don't want to offend anyone.

I'll start with some of the links we've already covered In other threads, I feel a spreadsheet coming on Grin

WankingMonkey · 12/03/2017 14:03

Tbh I am expecting threats but I am also quite fearful of it.

I expected a a couple, but nowhere close to the amount I got. And nowhere near as...graphic either.

Thisisouting · 12/03/2017 14:05

The worst I've had so far is some kids trolling, I just trolled them back Grin

SpartacusRaven · 12/03/2017 14:10

Great idea, I've set up a new account @RavenSpartacus
I've really gone with this Spartacus theme Grin
And I'm no longer being totally silent

WobblyLegs5 · 12/03/2017 14:28

I've (sarcasticly) argued this for a while on Twitter, no real threats, one 'oh you've really done it now' but no explaination or follow up. two TRA's follow me.

Thank you this I will get up the nerve to fill in number then delete after if they let me back on. Realised my new email uses my middle name (is normally do this, but hadn't realised twitter & other email had my first) so I'm hoping the confusion wad this.. )

Re anything not offending lgbt? ? Was that what was asked? WAtch magdalen burns you tube to understand how seriously offended lesbians are by tra's

Mrsmorton · 12/03/2017 14:37

Have followed a few of you.

I've been fairly outspoken of late, been blocked (which I'm quite proud of) by some TRAs but had no abuse. Zero. So don't let it put you off.

Thisisouting · 12/03/2017 14:55

Sorry I've not written that clearly I'd like some links to articles that detail lesbians issues but as a straight woman I'm not sure I feel like I should select them.

If anyone can help with some to promote the issue I'd appreciate it, I don't think we've covered in other threads magdalen burns isn't everyone's cup of tea if we are sending things to MPs and the like.

WobblyLegs5 · 12/03/2017 15:04

So got back into my twitter, ty. But why does it claim it's safer for me to have my phone number attached? They won't answer & I don't understand that. Ty

Thisisouting · 12/03/2017 15:15

OK I think the first article should be

www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-4305270/RACHEL-JOHNSON-woman-trial-rape-Really-No.html

While it's a current piece and I compile a list of the other articles

Datun · 12/03/2017 15:18

thisis

This link explains why lesbians are being targeted by transwomen and pressured into having sex with them.

SpartacusRaven · 12/03/2017 15:23

It's an optional account security thing - you can make it so you can only log into Twitter if you enter both your password and a code which is texted to you. Makes your account harder for others to hack since I'd need both your password and your phone to get in.

But account security and personal safety aren't the same thing, I may be wrong but I find it safer to be as anonymous as possible

Thisisouting · 12/03/2017 15:27

Brilliant thanks datun

For ease let's make that link tomorrow's and that gives me a few days to find the others

So today Sunday 12/3
www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-4305270/RACHEL-JOHNSON-woman-trial-rape-Really-No.html

Tomorrow Monday 13/3
transgenderreality.com/tag/cotton-ceiling/

Share the article with the hashtag #sparticus ??? Is that we decided?? Someone correct me if I'm wrong

OverthinkingSpartacus · 12/03/2017 15:28

I thought about using a male sounding name @DrinkFeckArseGirls but changed my mind because I wanted to be heard as a woman. I didn't want people to believe or add more weight to what I'm saying because they think I'm a bloke. I've noticed a in real life, I can say something about women issues and it's challenged, dh can say something about women's issues and it's accepted and agreed with, people will go "oooh I didn't realise"

I love #spartacus as a hashtag and also love the idea of us all tweeting an article each day too.

Today can we all tweet @CoolJazz thread on site stuff, she's wanting as much support on it by tomorrow. Im going to direct message some of the high profiles mentioned here and ask if they wouldn't mind retweeting to their followers. Here's the link to the thread.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2874341-Could-we-please-have-MP-Caroline-Flint-on-for-a-Webchat

I'm going through my PMs now so will reply to everyone soon.

OP posts:
DrinkFeckArseGirls · 12/03/2017 15:57

Now we have to fet followers first before we start tweeteing and retweeting! Especially the main account.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 12/03/2017 16:00

Thanks overthinking. I'll stick to my handle too.

WitchingHour666 · 12/03/2017 16:12

I like #Spartacus, perhaps we could call the campaign Spartacus Women's Campaign (SWC)?The Spartacus name can be used for many other things in real life campaigning. I think there is lot that can be done with it regards to marketing etc, to get publicity.

Hi
If you are tweeting about the Caroline Flint thread, can you add her twitter handle @CarolineFlintMP to the text so that she receives the tweet

Thanks spartacus

WobblyLegs5 · 12/03/2017 16:41

Are we allowed to say 'post episiotomy repair flatulence' a women's issue or is that offensive too?

BagelGoesWalking · 12/03/2017 16:49

Placemarking

Also, how do you send a PM if on a phone not laptop/computer? Can't seem to do it - I have got a laptop but usually follow these threads on a phone. Any ideas gratefully received!

NineReasons · 12/03/2017 16:56

WankingMonkey, I'm sorry to hear about the abuse you received on Twitter. Amnesty international want to hear from women who have experienced violence online.
