The transwoman I'm referring to has picked up and dropped so many identities at this point that her escapades could fill a book, she'll drop Islam as soon as she gets banned from the online groups for picking fights (won't be long, she's doing that as we speak.)
There is an element of 'echoing' to it all, I see an awful lot of transgender people thanks to the communities I hang out in and a lot of them latch onto whatever they can find to cobble together an identity. One of them claims to be Roma, despite being provably from a whiter-than-white background, one of them adopted her sister's name and started wearing her clothes, there's one that claims to be a Hindu woman and somehow got onto the staff of a woman's centre, one that joined our retro fashion group and spent the whole meetup being pointlessly bitchy (because that's what girls are like when they get together, right?) There's even one that follows me around now trying to 'echo' me, I feel bad for her because she's not necessarily bad or creepy but fails to understand that she can't just wear womanhood like a costume.
