Hi user it was a telephone interview. I will be invited to its steering group at some point and have agreed to tell my story.

user1475253854 · 21/10/2016 10:03

Flowers queen. I hope it's not too difficult to keep going over it. Hopefully your comments will help change the terrible system.

FannyCabbage · 21/10/2016 10:29

That's so brave of you, Queen.

One of the hardest things that would have such a great impact on others is being able to talk about your experience and about the way the police and the courts treat victims.

I worry that so many women will keep quiet after this ruling. Finding your voice after such an event is pretty terrifying, though - Queen, you've got my total respect and admiration x

WeDoNotSow · 21/10/2016 16:28

Was talking with my friend today about this, particularly her dads actions. I mean, why would he support a man who has treated his daughter so appallingly.
I think maybe he was embarrassed that his daughter chose to stay with this bloke, so thought it would lessen the shame if he was proved to be 'wrongly convicted'?
I'm assuming it was the dad behind the PI who complied the 'dossier' on her?

Queenoftheblues · 21/10/2016 17:47

Thank you User and Cabbage.

Queenoftheblues · 21/10/2016 17:49

Just to add, the police Sapphire Unit were brilliant and always believed in me. I have no complaints about them.

This article on why Natasha Massey stood by CE is just infuriatingAngry

He’s a family person, he always puts everyone else first and he’s kind.”

But he's not. He wasn't thinking of family or putting anyone else first when he cheated on her. How can she say that and honestly believe it. She must be incredibly dim. She has a very warped idea of what it means to be a kind, family man who puts everyone else first. I would say her parents relationship has a lot to answer for in that regard.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 22/10/2016 10:15

I'm not sure he was thinking about family when he appealed either. He was already out of prison, working in a lucrative career that doesn't need enhanced DBS checks, girlfriend stood by him, had child.
The same people supported him before the verdict as after - I don't think it changed many minds.
All it did really was cost a great deal of family money, to get one over on the victim.

flippinada · 22/10/2016 10:19

Yes Jen.

It's much like posters on here who start off telling everyone what a lovely man their DH/DP is, but .... (fill in the blanks) and it soon becomes clear that he's a thoroughly nasty piece of work.

gratesnakes · 22/10/2016 10:28

Hmmm. A big softy. That would be why he callously stepped over the Complainants fallen body in the kebab shop. And that would be why he is such good pals with a man who on the same lads night out repeatedly hurled a woman to the ground and kicked her.

This Natasha is a strange one. Why is she still doing media interviews now it's all over? I wondered what was in it for her and now I can only conclude that she actually wants to be a celeb and loves the attention. Wonder if Ched realises?

user1475253854 · 22/10/2016 10:35

Yes maybe if his career had gone as she'd hoped she might have been in with a chance of interviews or even an Hello wedding spread. Maybe she thinks this is her only chance?

JenLindleyShitMom · 22/10/2016 10:44

Oh god how depressing and desperate! Her claim to fame is appearing in the mirror defending her rapey cheating scumbag boyfriend. Hmm

Who is advising these people??

Queenoftheblues · 22/10/2016 10:48

What a mug.

OlennasWimple · 22/10/2016 13:59

Is the Mirror article drawn from her interview with Allison Pearson?

In a strange way, Tash bring out my maternal side: I want to sweep her up, remove her from her vile dad (who told her that CE should attend the interview too - why? Isn't she allowed to speak for her self??), give her head a wobble, introduce her to the basic tenets of feminism and show her what a healthy, respectful relationship looks like. Sad

flippinada · 22/10/2016 14:09

Didn't Allison Pearson come out in support of Evans some time ago?

I feel a bit sorry for her too (Ms Massey, not Ms Pearson). She's done some very questionable things but she didn't rape anyone and isn't responsible for her horrible fiance's behaviour. Pure speculation but I don't think she had the greatest male role model growing up.

That said, I have far more sympathy for the victim in all of this who has had her life destroyed by these awful people.

JenLindleyShitMom · 22/10/2016 14:12

She is responsible for her own behaviour though which included trying to bribe a witness in the trial.

flippinada · 22/10/2016 14:19

Yes, she is.

That Allison Pearson interview is absolutely sick-making.

Debinaround · 22/10/2016 14:41

She's deluded if she thinks he is never going to cheat on her again. Daft cow.

DeleteOrDecay · 22/10/2016 15:18

I rolled my eyes at the 'big softy' part, and how she harped on about how he just wasn't capable of rape. She is deluded.

Debinaround · 22/10/2016 15:47

She never turned up at the first trial. The police had to fetch her and bring her to court. I think she knew it wasn’t right.”

No she was quite rightly scared to death. Poor woman.

She’s got used to people winding down their car windows and shouting, “You ing mug, staying with a rapist.” But, this morning, a lady came up to her and said, “I think you’re amazing, well done.”

Aye course she did. Whatever you say Evens. Hmm

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 22/10/2016 19:12

That Allison Pearson interview is absolutely sick-making
