What was the misinformation? I can't see anything she said that wasn't as it was said in court.

Marbleheadjohnson · 18/10/2016 18:20

Apparently she said it must have been like having sex with a corpse. Which sounds like opinion to me.

Marbleheadjohnson · 18/10/2016 18:25

Gloria Hunniford said... "In my opinion it shows the type of man he is though.

"The facts of the case, maybe I am naive because I am of an era where a threesome meant the three bears, I don't understand threesomes.

"The mere fact that his mate goes 'I've got this girl' and he has a threesome and there's two blokes outside filming it and he never says a word to the girl and leaves down the fire escape.

"This girl apparently as it turned out was so drunk that it was almost like making love to a dead body.

"In my mind I just can't comprehend in all of that. Ched Evans is the last person I would be sending my children to any kind of sex education."

Don't see any misrepresentation there.

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 18:28

Yes the massey's behaviour in all this has been very odd. I can understand her sticking by him. I do get that despite thinking it wrong but for her family to spend so many thousands of pounds actively defending him and even now still after he has been cleared. It's strange.

Marbleheadjohnson · 18/10/2016 18:31

Hopefully I TV tell them to piss off. Loose Women is prerecorded I think? I went to a filming years ago dont judge me, I can't see them broadcasting anything precorded and libellous

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 18:31

I can see this becoming a [she who must not be mentioned] situation except it's not just MN that can't discuss it, its everyone.

DeleteOrDecay · 18/10/2016 18:35

Ive just seen the report regarding the Loose Women thing, was just about to post it here but it seems I was beaten to it.

Anyway from what Ive read of the article in The Mirror, the only misinformation is one of the panel claiming it was a 3 some.

That family is very strange, people are allowed to air their opinions, no one on the panel said anything untoward. Are they going to go after everyone on Twitter or even Mumsnet for saying similar things?

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 18/10/2016 18:38

A tweet made me actually lol...
It said (paraphrased) "if they think that's bad, they should hear what regular people are saying" Grin

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/10/2016 18:41

The fiancées father is clearly a freak. Perhaps he feels the daughters relationship with the gobshite enhances his prestige? Kind of like a downmarket Mrs bennet raving on about mr darcy.

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 18:42

Was it not a threesome? CM asked her if his mate could "join in" surely that indicated their intention for the 3 of them to be involved?

DeleteOrDecay · 18/10/2016 18:46

I was under the impression that CM left pretty much as soon as CE began taking his 'turn'.

God, just typing that sentence made me feel sick. What a disgusting turn of events.

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 18:50

Yes I think you're right, I think I remember reading that he went to the bathroom and got dressed while CE was [insert own description for what happened] and left while it was still happening and told receptionist she was sick, while it was still happening. Hmm so I guess not technically a threesome despite that being proposed to the woman. Not sure why they would object to it being described as that though as CE admitted in original trial that he had had threesomes with his mates before.

merrymouse · 18/10/2016 18:52

Maybe they are upset about the 'dead body'? The new defence apparently proved she was a willing participant. The problem for Massey is that the more he drags it up, the more people are reminded of what his daughter's fiancée undoubtedly did that night.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 18/10/2016 18:52

I wonder when she had been sick for McDonald to say that? You don't say "sick" interchangeably with "legless" do you?
Is that info in the public domain?

merrymouse · 18/10/2016 18:52

Sorry, didn't prove - threw doubt on the argument that she absolutely definitely wasn't a willing participant.

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 18:55

She must have actually vommitted for him to refer to her as sick? Or have looked like she was going to?

JenLindleyShitMom · 18/10/2016 19:01

I just cannot imagine leaving anyone alone when they were so drunk they were sick. Which clearly she was as he reported it to the receptionist. Who raised these conscienceless pond life to treat another human so badly? Sexual activity aside, is it really so normal to just walk away and leave someone like that when they are ill? Even if they are a complete stranger? I've sat with strange women in nightclubs/outside pub doorways when they've been ill/wasted until their friends came along or staff came to take over. I've missed cabs and buses and got assaulted by a man who clearly saw a victim ready for his attention Hmm that I was getting in the way of.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 18/10/2016 19:10

It's only been active a few hours, give it chance :)

OlennasWimple · 18/10/2016 19:54

I love Gloria Hunniford

birdsdestiny · 18/10/2016 20:03

Yes some very unexpected allies in this case. Gloria Hunnerford and The Sun.

WomanWithAltitude · 18/10/2016 20:05

It's going up now - we just need to share it as widely as possible.

CharlieSierra · 18/10/2016 20:05

I've seen the petition via my FB feed and it's got 395 signatures last time I looke.

CarrieLouise25 · 18/10/2016 20:27

Who's famous that we could tweet the petition to that would get more coverage?

CharlieSierra · 18/10/2016 20:32

Quite a few journalists have written scathing articles and might be receptive to tweeting.
