Anyone seen Magdalen Berns? She's an Edinburgh student who does some fantastic feminist videos and activism. She is a lesbian and has gone up against Ada J Wells and been banned from the Edinburgh LGBT society. I think she needs our support!

I hope her University supports her properly now, too.

I've subscribed to her YouTube channel and follow her on FB. She's inspirational and brave and very intelligent, would highly recommend to any radfem!

She's bloody fantastic.

I've just followed her on Twitter. Incredibly brave given the way we pussy foot around this topic.

She's been harassed by the Nate/ Ada phenomenon, for months.

But Edinburgh Uni have chosen to ignore it and instead investigate her.

If you look at their arguments, she's speaking rationally, explaining what she understands to be gender, while he's calling her TERF, scum, cuntscum etc.

It's unbelievable.

I don't do social media but am now (pointlessy) following Magdalen Berns and Robbie Travers on twitter just because of the Wells fiasco.

I watched the video you posted once AskBasil and when I was watching it my computer crashed. I did the "restore tabs" option, but then it kept crashing and I kept restoring. Now whenever I open up youtube it automatically just starts playing it a few innocent bystanders have been subject to a loud and rather surprising "would you date a lesbian with a penis"? coming from my computer when I've been using it in public! I always quickly mute it after that but I've had a few looks and sniggers! I love Magdalen!

I like her but in some of her videos she reminds me far too much of talking to someone stoned or coming down from something; who are really putting the world to rights but the next day you remember they were brilliant but can't remember why

She does have a slightly stoner way of speaking. I suspect she is a bit Marmite. I find her amusing even if I don't necessarily agree with everything she says.

She's legendary. And a right laugh to have a drink with, I can tell ya!

She is a star, when my kid announced that she wanted to go on 'T' and have a mastectomy Magdalen was one of the first voices talking sense about trans that I found.

Magdalen is awesome. She's really intelligent, she's studying STEM subjects, and she's been really fab on discussions we've had regarding ADHD, which my DS has. I take your point Re her tone of voice, but I think that's what makes her videos all the better. She's not shouty or "emotional", just calm and matter-of-fact. It's a perfect combo.
