Good morning!

Busy but dull week and nothing to report apart from trying not to think about getting secondary school uniform stuff. Anyone wants to volunteer to sort this out is very welcome.

Well that's the best news I've had all month. Since someone else has nicked the permitted party popper, can I at least pour the wine? Here's the comfy chair, and a poof, put your feet up. Where would you like to sit? Window view?

Oh, that's made my day! I have to spend the next three days being polite to horribly sexist FIL. But now I can bask in the reasonable feminist glow to sort me out when it all gets too much.

I just ran out of the pub to jump up & down, squealing "Buffy's in there!" Now I'm sauntering back in, all nonchalant-like, and pretending to read the paper.

Unrelated to feminism, it was my DFiL's funeral yesterday, which was incredibly difficult. DH and his brothers had shown no emotion at all until the afternoon, when the dam broke it was awful to watch. Patriarchy in action.

I have been weeding in the garden, and planting (thymes, hyssop, savory, marjoram.) The house is in desperate need of some floor cleaning and so on, but I really can't be bothered while the weather is outside weather.
