We're running at about six weeks per pub at the moment! So if you want chat with a feminist flavour, or with fellow feminists, or just want to admire our patriarchy blaster cannon and goat - welcome!

Stormy. You could just add a message underneath that says, "at least a 2 year old can spell her own name. Shame some adults can't even remember it. Must be sad to be losing those grey cells."

Grumpy satnav would be great esp when DH someone insists on ignoring it (tbf he usually has good reason but I always feel like she should stop being so patient and polite about replanning the routeGrin)

Today I am just being grumpy.

Anything making you grumpy in particular kickass?

Opened my fridge today to find all the food cooked either half cooked, melted or curdled. The smell that came out of the door with massive waft of heat made me puke, so I've spent the morning cleaning my puke and a load manky food from fridge. Dunno what went wrong with it. Was like opening an oven, I'm just glad the bloody thing didn't set on fire!

That sounds awful Inicked. Hope it's sorted out soon.

I Knicked, that sounds awful.

OK - beers all round. This is meant to be a pub. With an extra shot of something for I Knicked - I would feel really upset after something like that.

Why would you not drink on weeknights?? As long as you are not driving anywhere, there is no reason why you shouldn't enjoy a glass of beer.

I knocked back quite a bit of wine last night. I don't normally get drunk, but last night I did. So shoot me.

It seems to have done the trick. I have woken up feeling proactive and full of ideas. I just hope some of them work!

Fair enough. As long as you are in control, I don't think that an occasional glass of beer will do you any harm.

I have a drink quite frequently but never get drunk. Don't like being drunk and certainly don't like the aftermath! Grin

I rarely ever drink, for two reasons: even a sniff of booze stops me sleeping; and I inflicted enough hangovers on my sister when she had very small children to see that they really don't mix! Probably a good thing, as I never did figure out how to make one drink come in less than six glasses.

I rarely drink either. I'm even driving to my own wedding, so won't be drinking then either. I just don't like it, plus dp's dad and step dad are both functioning alcoholics so dp and I consciously choose not to drink.

I used to like my vodka on a Friday night, I started getting an awful guilty feeling the next day and then I just kind of went off it and hardly ever drink at all now. I miss getting drunk sometimes though, but instead of feeling relaxed after a couple, I feel panicky.

I do get annoyed whenever we go to family parties etc and people keep hassling me to drink. Few weeks ago a family friend asked me seven times if I was going to "lighten up", dh said to drink coke and just say it had vodka in, but why should I? I'm not going to drink something I don't want, to make someone else think it's alcohol so that they don't hassle me. I'm happy with my coffee.

I don't understand this hassling people to drink business too. And people feel sorry for you if you are not drinking. FFS. (Confession - I've never reacted well to anyone feeling sorry for me.)

It's a shared vice thing I think. If everyone is doing it then it's sanctioned. I got the same reaction when I was quitting smoking, from friends who were smokers. People feel like someone else's abstinence is a comment on them somehow. I've no idea why, I guess some people think everything is about them Hmm

"I guess some people think everything is about them".

Yes. There are some people who treat everything you do as a social commentary on them. Must be exhausting.

I'm getting married today Grin I feel like I should be doing something, but I can't think what needs to be done.
