This BBC article of 18:24h today (which eggman linked to another thread) quotes OA owner of being "80% certain" RCE will be signed, and alludes to legal issues which need to be dealt with.

Yes, I remember when I first read about the CE case there were two Twitter accounts that I really noticed, it was yours and another 'Blef' (or something very similar to that).

Blef is still Tweeting away, still getting huge amounts of shit.

I sat in my office today listening to 2 of my male colleagues going on about how it's not right to put "another level of justice" on top of what's already there (these are men who work with orgs which carry out CRB checks or whatever they're called nowadays) and saying how footballers are not role models. Perfectly normal nice men, disapprove of Ched Evans and know he's a rapist, but can't see why this is so shit.

Sadly, Blef & sashh getting shit on Twitter doesn't surprise me. It is depressing, though.

Trojan I suspect they're doing the leaking to a) see how much of a furore it would cause if they signed him up and b) to say to rapist girlfriend's dad "see, we'll lose this sponsor if we sign him, how much will you pay us?"

Seriously, I think that's what it is.

For 3 months, he's been going round the lower league circuit asking men to let him "get on with his life" (kicking a ball on a Saturday afternoon and then going out for a spot of rape in the evening). All these men have bent over backwards to try and accommodate him, because when it comes down to it, many of them simply don't recognise what he did as rape.

Did anyone see that ape, Eric Hall, on Channel 4 news last night? Jesus effing Christ, I could not believe what he was saying. He actually tried to stop Charlie Webster naming Evans' crime. What a total ubernob.

I couldn't help the inadvertent eye roll when Eric Hall kept trying to refer to him as a young lad.

Because as a young lad, he's a good one, an innocent, harmless, obviously not capable of rape. Which is why it's so good to see much of the media referring to the convicted rapist Ched Evans. It at least goes a little way to offsetting the 'young lad' portrayal his supporters keep coming up with.

What I don't understand, is why the argument that he has "done his time" has any weight anyway? I would expect most rapists who have "done their time" would find it hard to get work at all.
