Well, I spoke to DH and he was totally cool about me wanting to change my name, understood the reasons behind it. Didn't think we should change the DC's surname though because of the hassle it would cause them. Going to think about it a bit more over the weekend. I am worried about the reaction of others if I do change my name, I know I shouldn't worry about it but I do. My extended family will probably think I'm being very pretentious
