I don't agree.

Under the Nordic model, the seller is criminalized if he or she works with another prostitute/sexworker.

Under decriminalization however, the seller is not criminalized.

Every country with legal prostitution has its share of critics and politicians wanting to push through the nordic model.

But there are also a vast number of people (including many prostitutes/sexworkers) who don't want the nordic model. Which is why it has been defeated many times.

N. Ireland on the other hand, I am expecting to introduce the nordic model. (the fact almost everyone in the country is a strict catholic helps a lot to get it passed IMO.)

And if it does pass in N. Ireland sexworkers will still be commiting a crime if they work together, just like in Sweden.

Almost everyone in Northern Ireland is strict Catholic? Hmm

But based on your posts on this and other threads I'm guessing your aim isn't accuracy

The punter is criminalised under the Nordic Model. It's the punter who creates the demand.

I wonder what your vested interest is. I also agree with Petula, your aim isn't accuracy.

Well it's very clear that this poster is a returning one.
"Sexworkers working together" what a nice euphemism for brothels and pimps.

WhentheRed, that's heartening.

Sadly, I think there's a couple of them on here right now Sad

I'm not talking about pimps, I'm talking about those who sell sex.

Like I said, under the Nordic model it is those who sell sex who commit a crime if they work in a brothel. Which I don't agree with- I find it very misleading how so many speak of the nordic model as if selling sex is outright decriminalised under it.

Denmark was very quick to reject it, Scotland has rejected it more than once, and now France has rejected it.

I hope Canada make the right decision.

Upset France didn't make the right choice for anyone other than pimps and punters. Clear now?

How are sexworkers (or "prostituted women" if you must use that term) going to benefit from a law that criminalises them if they work together?

No wonder they don't want the nordic model.

Sabrinnnnnnnna · 10/07/2014 16:47

Punters and pimps pay to abuse women and children, so do you wonder why you're constantly banned from this forum quertber punterpimp?

You don't have an answer to my Q?

And this is why hardly any country wants the nordic model.

Plenty of evidence against it.

No evidence in favour of it, just a load of emotive language and name-calling.
