Worth £16 billion in Germany. Legal to "make it safer".

Interview with 22 yr old Hannah. 6 men per night, earns 100 to 1000 euros per night,

Talking about should it be illegal in the UK and the fact that brothels are safer than the streets. They have super brothels in Germany.

OP posts:

How lovely. Another punter come to tell us how strongly he feels he should be allowed to fuck girls young enough to be his daughter that wouldn't otherwise touch his cock with a bargepole

GarthsUncle · 13/03/2014 08:02

When you were a nervous 19 year old student, how would you have felt going the the house of, let's say, a professional boxer, to give him blow jobs and anal sex, would you have been thinking "this is just like painting his walls"?

AnyFucker · 13/03/2014 08:02

They always have numbers after their name. How quaint

GarthsUncle · 13/03/2014 08:03

It's in their manual, AF!

GarthsUncle · 13/03/2014 08:06

GarthsUncle No, if the nice punters reduce leaving the sex worker with not so nice (violent) clients then she is more at risk because she can not discriminate as she could in the past by, for example weeding out violent punters so easily. In any event I am sceptical that total numbers have decreased, it has, more likely moved elsewere such as indoors.

  • you do understand that an important part of the Swedish model is support for prostitutes to leave prostitution, don't you?
DoctorTwo · 13/03/2014 08:08

The people to blame for prostitution are punters. If there were no punters there would be no prostitutes. Or is that too simplistic? Confused

BriarRainbowshimmer · 13/03/2014 08:15

"Working girl"
Are you talking about childabuse because adult women are not girls. Sex is not work. And women can actually work in a variety of jobs outside the home these days, not just as prostitutes, in case you didn't notice. In fact we always have worked hard as farmers, fishwives, spinners, maids...

migsy86 · 13/03/2014 08:20

^ I agree with that but I think as long as men are around there will always be prostitution. They seem to be driven by their 'needs'.

Look at drugs, people take drugs because they make them feel good, I think humans are driven to seek pleasure even if it's at the expense of others. Making it illegal won't make it go away.

And also if anyone (not sure if this is a TI) thinks they can bully me via pm's to stop me from posting, can can do one. You say you support sex workers but aren't prepared to listen to all aspects of the industry. Including the not so nice parts.

To the punters on this thread, I have nothing against you and yes the sex you will have with us is consensual, but in reality do you really think we want to have sex with you. I've had sex with a 65 year old this week, i'm young enough to be his grand-daughter.

GarthsUncle · 13/03/2014 08:24

Migsy, glad to see you, hope you are ok Flowers

GarthsUncle · 13/03/2014 08:25

And do report the PMs Flowers

migsy86 · 13/03/2014 08:30

Im ok thank you for asking. I will report the pm's even though it looks like the poster is long gone xx

BriarRainbowshimmer · 13/03/2014 08:42

I'm also glad to see you Migsy - how are things going?

DoctorTwo · 13/03/2014 10:28

Lovely to 'see' you back migsy. I hope you are safe and well.

grimbletart · 13/03/2014 11:22

We need to tackle societal factors which encourage prostitution says Steven 1011.

Precisely. As a society we need to change attitudes that say that men who pay for sex have 'needs' - ha ha - no they don't - they have 'wants'. Quite different. We need to tackle societal factors that imply it is absolutely fine for men to have sex with women who don't want to have sex with men.

Many views in society have been changed over time by making things illegal e.g. drink driving (it is frowned on, it was made illegal, it has reduced); smoking (it is frowned on for health reasons, it was made illegal in public places, it has further reduced); mobile use in cars (it is frowned on, it was made illegal, it is reducing, though slowly as it is relatively early days).

This is not to compare sex with drink driving, smoking and mobile phones. But to point out that you can change societal attitudes over time through the law. Making 'punting' illegal would reduce 'punting' over time though inevitably some will remain because there will always be people who don't mind being criminals.

grimbletart · 13/03/2014 11:23

Oh and welcome back Migsy. Hope you are OK. Flowers

wodalingpengwin · 13/03/2014 11:30

Sorry if this has already been posted, I haven't got time to read all 23 pages but just heard an article about the German super brothels on the radio. The following points were made:

Far from making prostitution 'better', the following has happened:

Because it is legal, women have flooded in from many other countries to work there legally and this has driven prices down and further compromised conditions.

Because it is legal, the industry has become larger and therefore less police-able. Trafficked women are harder to find and help.

Men are still running the show, but as slick legal businessmen instead of illegal pimps.

scallopsrgreat · 13/03/2014 12:38

"Men are still running the show, but as slick legal businessmen instead of illegal pimps."

Men still controlling and abusing women. And that's why it is so important to tackle the abusive side of prostitution. The punters and pimps and it is mainly men.

scallopsrgreat · 13/03/2014 12:39

Very glad to see you are OK migsy Thanks

AnyFucker · 13/03/2014 12:39

Glad to see you are ok, migsy

migsy I hope you're okay. Feel free to name and shame any poster that PMs you as well as reporting them to MNHQ. I'm sure the person who PM'd you would be one of the ones who claims he listens to "sex workers".

It is demand from punters that creates prostitution and drives pimps to trick women into prostitution under the guise of "consent" and "choice". Criminalising demand and providing exit services would mean pimps like yours migsy would not be luring you (and possibly other women) away from your dreams of becoming a nurse.

I wish more people who get dodgy/abusive pm's would copy them onto the main board and let us all see what they have to say.

horsetowater · 14/03/2014 15:06

Migsy how low can they go, bullying you via pm anonymously. Sums up their mentality really.

Please be careful and cover your tracks on here.

peppercornn · 14/03/2014 22:39

"Survivor" of prostitution Patricia Perquin exposed as a FRAUD.

Patricia had tales of horrific stories from her time as a prostitute (in Amsterdam) and even had a book of them. Some politicians were so moved by her tales some actually started supporting criminalization of clients.

But then it emerged no real prostitute in Amsterdam had ever heard of her. Then the truth came out- the whole thing was one big lie.
