I may have a nasty suspicious mind, but it seems to me that every thread....

......that talks about misogyny gets derailed in exactly the same way. Coincidence?

OP posts:
feministefatale · 24/01/2013 20:39

I

lemonmuffin · 24/01/2013 20:43

Maybe what you see as 'derailing' is just other people not sharing the same opinion as you seeker

LineRunner · 24/01/2013 20:45

Yes, that would be it. Thank you, m'lord.

garlicblocks · 24/01/2013 20:47

Ooh, look! Lemonmuffin has mansplained Grin

Thank you

BelaLugosisShed · 24/01/2013 20:48

I have my dibber all ready for the bingo, I see it's started Grin

SinisterSal · 24/01/2013 20:48

Its all so predictable though lemonmuffin. And a bit knee jerk. There are plenty of disagreements where both sides have valid arguments. And some that are just cliches trotted out.

Chubfuddler · 24/01/2013 20:48

My DH says to tell you you are wrong lemon muffin.

So that's ok then. Your work here is done.

LineRunner · 24/01/2013 20:51

I can't get a husband, so my views are suspect.

garlicblocks · 24/01/2013 20:51

I'm really envious of the Penis. If I had one, I'd love it to have a little vajazzle collar with tiny diamonty kittens & bows, so cute :) I would stroke it all day and feel complete at last.

Linerunner, your uterus just needs a good shag, you know that don't you?

garlicblocks · 24/01/2013 20:52

Chubfuddler Wink

feministefatale · 24/01/2013 20:52

Would Lemon be my husband? I would pole dance whilst wearing a dirndl and baking you apple pie

rosabud · 24/01/2013 21:00

I an't believe I've gone away for a couple of hours to get DH's tea and do all the housework and noone has bothered to acknowledge my earlier very clever and accurate opinion that Laura Ashley frocks are responsible for all the very few sexual assaults by men (AND women too, because, don't forget women DO assualt men quite a lot, in fact it's 99% of some tiny village populations) or come back to answer my comments on how Laura Ashley frock wearing and no feminsim allowed is responsible, according to the factually accurate Lord Fact Report (just google it, the evidence is hard facts and can't be disputed by any women at all, it explains all that in the appendix), for Greenland, where no actual people live, becoming the most prosperous and happy nation on earth.

Or are you all too busy following your own agendas and spouting your own opinions and not listening to me at all??

LineRunner · 24/01/2013 21:11

I would follow my own agenda but am too stupid. I was going to follow Paul Ryan's but his eyes dazzle me into forgetting who I really am.

I think Green Land sounds lovely.

garlicblocks · 24/01/2013 21:14

I was listening to you, Rosabud, but a man came along so I listened to him instead.

He gave me a Laura Ashley frock and a ticket to Green Land. I'm going to learn my place and be happy :)

BelaLugosisShed · 24/01/2013 21:19

I had a Laura Ashley wedding dress - how did I get down the aisle unscathed?

LesBOFerables · 24/01/2013 21:25

This thread is so ironic- all these feminists disagreeing and being rude. Much worse than anything men do.

lemonmuffin · 24/01/2013 21:31

Perhaps it might be worth considering that what some posters consider to be misogyny, might just be robust and valid debate.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 24/01/2013 21:32

Well, in the last election I was going to vote for the most handsome candidate, but then dh told me who I should vote for, (my pretty little head couldn't handle political analysis), so I voted for them instead.

feministefatale · 24/01/2013 21:35

Which bit Lemon? Name one.

AnyFucker · 24/01/2013 21:36

I liked the one in the pink tie

BIWI · 24/01/2013 21:36

The word 'misogyny' does not mean robust and valid debate

feministefatale · 24/01/2013 21:36

or is lemon being ironic and I have totally missed it. If so I am tired and I blame my vagina

BIWI · 24/01/2013 21:37

Just so you know:

mi·sog·y·ny [mi-soj-uh-nee, mahy-]

noun
hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women.

TheCrackFox · 24/01/2013 21:40

I'll need to wait until DH gets back in from work - he will tell me what Misogyny means.

LurcioLovesFrankie · 24/01/2013 21:47

FF - I think Lemon may indeed be being ironic, but unfortunately some nasty feminists I met at university robbed me of my sense of humour so I can't be sure. That'll learn me for thinking I could go in for all this higher education nonsense without my uterus leaping up my throat and garotting me. Of course, he/she could be mansplaining where I am going wrong (where of course by mansplaining, I mean man in its traditional sense of synonymous with the whole of the human race). Oh, it's so hard to tell, I get so confused by all this interlectuel discussion stuff. My parents made a big mistake sending me to school and letting me learn to read, I tell you. Were it not for DS, I might think that my literacy had left me infertile.
