I have read a few contributors, and I really want to point to them and ask 'what are YOU doing here?' Grin but its not on is it

I miss you around this place AF.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/06/2012 23:22

No I'm not. Wasn't around then, but have heard it referred to. No idea where I got my idea from! Well nice to talk to you and read your posts and know there is another strong feminist on here

namechangeguy · 19/06/2012 23:27

Yes it has. Juggling was asking about radfems and their attitudes towards personal relationships. I was merely giving her some radfem information to read, as she seemed curious, and she wasn't on the original thread. What, is Julie Bindel not a suitable source?

AnyFucker · 19/06/2012 23:27

Eats it is quite possible I have some dodgy people on my FB, since I don't use it for general stuff and have forgotten everyone who is on it Grin

aww, BC, ta

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 23:28

It seemed provocative to say the least.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/06/2012 23:29

AF - Actually it is someone who I thought was fine - I thought you were the dodgy one! Glad you are not though

Beachcomber · 19/06/2012 23:30

Don't say 'ta' you fucker.

Get back here.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/06/2012 23:31

Yellow - I agree with Julie Bindel

yellowraincoat · 19/06/2012 23:33

Considering how much arguments it's caused on the other thread, it hardly seems fair to post it again, but maybe I'm wrong.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 19/06/2012 23:35

I don't mind an argument if it is a genuine debate and not personal insults or simply a poster trying to wind someone up

AnyFucker · 19/06/2012 23:35

Grin @ BC

namechangeguy · 19/06/2012 23:35

It's what a prominent person within the radfem movement truly believes. Is it provocative? I couldn't possibly comment. I understand her point of view and her motives.

Beachcomber · 19/06/2012 23:42

Grin away AF.

I like it better when you come here and make me larf though. I had a good old snort at something you said today (something about somebody seeing someone for an affliction).

I still get why you aren't around so much (here) though and am close to it myself.

AnyFucker · 19/06/2012 23:50

< removes gin bottle from BC's sticky grasp >

I felt only sympathy and a compulsion to help in any way I could, BC. To be constantly "eaten with desire" must be a terrible cross to bear. There has to be someone that can assist with such an awful affliction.

Beachcomber · 19/06/2012 23:53

Such generosity AF. Warms the cockles.

AnyFucker · 20/06/2012 00:00

Such commitment to alleviating a fellow poster's suffering is not always appreciated, alas

I believe I will earn my place in Heaven though (hideous trolling notwithstanding)

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 20/06/2012 00:03

You fuckers hogging the gin to yourselves!

AnyFucker · 20/06/2012 00:05

I am going to bed now. You can have the dregs, Eats

(BC had most of it)

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 20/06/2012 00:06

Its just so fucking cliquey on here!

Night AF

AnyFucker
"I have had my appearance mocked, my marriage ripped apart, my motives for helping women to see they don't have to stay in abusive relationships ridiculed, the location of my husband's bollocks questioned, and I could go on
all in the last few days, and it's a regular occurence
some regulars on the Fem board get it worse than me
a few "erm, what exactly are you doing/saying here, in this female-dominated space?" comments doesn't equate"

AF

these types of post have only become apparent to me because I lurk on this board, the threads on internet abuse have been a real eye opener.

I don't equate any comments that are on threads and aimed at menz etc. in the same light, but I want to talk, discuss and debate with people about feminism, and that is hard to do when threads are "locked down" with standard form responses.

bejeezusWC · 20/06/2012 07:26

Whenever I have seen any menz type comments, it has been because of what the man said, rather than just because he is a man

Sometimes just the tone

I click on 'last 15 mins' and sometimes it looks interesting. I never go to the section.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 20/06/2012 07:48

I would agree bejeezus. There have been plenty of civil discussions with men on FWR. But comments such as men are more oppressed than women aren't going to get a good reception in a place to discuss feminism.
