Agenda, much?

I don't usually wander onto the MN facebook page but I was pretty horrified to find what looks very much like an MRA agenda posted on there.
I'm trying very hard to see what relevance the photo used for their site has regarding the voices of unheard children. Hmm Looks more like how they would like to see their women to me.

And don't forget "psychological child abusing contact blockers" Sunshine.

Not quite sure what the unattached psychological is doing in that sentence, I think whoever used it just thinks (erroneously) it makes him look as if he's used to using big words.

ThisIsExtremelyVeryNotGood · 08/03/2012 16:17

Oh ROFPMSL. She has reported MN to the police. Publicity stunt, much? Hmm

TunipTheVegemal · 08/03/2012 16:21

LMAO. I bet they've never done that before and the police take them really seriously.

slug · 08/03/2012 16:22

Have F4J just reported MN to the Police for disagreeing with them????

The term entitled arseholes comes to mind but I couldn't possible mention that because it might be conscrued as libel

I'm very interested in the ASA and their children4justice campaign. I don't think it is correct that organisations misrepresent statistics on their advertising material. Plus the untrue testimony from one of the children, which has already been highlighted?

And don't even get me started on the gaffa tape. I actually don't want any F4J people over here posting their vitriol, but I would like to hear them answer Beertricks question too.

Slug, you're not missing much. They don't let anyone with an opposing view on their FB page...

ThisIsExtremelyVeryNotGood · 08/03/2012 16:25

For "inciting gender hatred" slug Hmm

runningforthebusinheels · 08/03/2012 16:26

Reported MN to the police? Oh ha ha.

Well laydeees it's been naice.

TunipTheVegemal · 08/03/2012 16:27

Seriously, did she actually report us to the police for libel? That is beyond hilarious given that libel's a civil offence.

Shock If they unplug mine I'll have to converse with dh and he'll try and teach me about calculus again.

When we meet again in prison, sisters, I will be shit hot at maths Smile

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 16:32

I'm awaiting the knock at the door. Trembling, here...

Onesunnymorningin2012 · 08/03/2012 16:33

That question again:

Do you advocate the taping up of childrens' mouths for an advertising campaign. Using the conventions of porn and abuse to get the message across about an organisation?

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 16:38

Could the F4J lurkers please refrain from claiming we're spouting hate towards men? It would be much appreciated, and might even open up the way for some polite and reasonable discussion. I'll even bring biscuits.

runningforthebusinheels · 08/03/2012 16:38

I think Justine's stood up to bigger and badder than F4J before now, hasn't she?

"MUMSNET - F4J REPORT MUMSNET TO POLICE FOR INCITING GENDER HATRED. Nadine O'Connor has this afternoon reported Mumsnet to the Police for inciting Gender Hatred on their forums. F4J has been subject to a stream of vile and offensive abuse over a long period of time on Mumsnet but to compare us to the KKK is something else. See Trevor's posting here and the attached file as an reminder of the vile and offensive bigotry spouted on Mumsnet. As we say here, never hate your ex, more than you love your child. These people have allowed their hatred to consume them."

Is there a crime of inciting gender hatred?

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 16:40

This is great... I can mark real winter's comments on my photo as spam... Do I? Don't I?

Onesunnymorningin2012 · 08/03/2012 16:40

I got better marks than my husband in calculus, Tunip.

We could set up a class in prison.

TunipTheVegemal · 08/03/2012 16:44

'As we say here, never hate your ex, more than you love your child.'

Why do they have to say that? Do their members need reminding? Shock
