Agenda, much?

I don't usually wander onto the MN facebook page but I was pretty horrified to find what looks very much like an MRA agenda posted on there.
I'm trying very hard to see what relevance the photo used for their site has regarding the voices of unheard children. Hmm Looks more like how they would like to see their women to me.

Apparently asking repeated questions and deliberately spamming a helpline for people needing advice is not intimidation or harassment. Poor ickle them, being so misrepresented.

I'm another horrible, vindictive ex, who's made it clear to Ds's father I want him nowhere near DS. But he's never made an effort to see him.

In my defence, he did try to kill me once, did try to punch me in the stomach whilst I was 7 months pregnant, did assault me whilst I was holding DS, and once whilst he was holding DS, and did offer to kill us both if we ever left.

But, if he had a FB account, he'd be on F4J going on about my false allegations...

SmellsLikeTeenStrop · 08/03/2012 15:12

maybe somebody should point out to f4j that the gingerbread link shows that the belief of the family courts is that regular contact with the nrp is most desirable and is what is best for the children. Family courts act with this in mind and do not routinely block the nrp (usually the father), from having contact.

Most fathers who apply to the courts for contact are granted it.

I don't even know what F4J are after tbh. They need to define exactly what sort of evidence they're willing to accept.

It's also a bit of a laugh them asking for robust evidence when they don't even have actual figures for the number of dads who are awarded contact but don't get it. In fact, AFAICT they don't have any robust evidence to back up any of their claims. 3.8 million kids have parents who are no longer together. F4J couldn't even get that right when copying it on to their media material, claiming it's the number of fatherless kids.

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 15:19

Is anyone here not banned from F4J to point this out? Or are they still stalking us?

Hi Nadine!

'Dave Darby And they dont describe themselves as 'psychological child abusing contact blockers'? Now I do find that to be rather bizarre!"

When my ExH walked out to go and move in with his girlfriend he said on the doorstep in a very calm voice that he would come back and burn the house down around me, with me and the children in it, if I didn't do exactly as he said.

When I later wrote this up in a statement he took issue with its legality, because I'd got the date wrong.

He sees his children once a month, at his own choosing.

He is on his 5th girlfriend since walking out.

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 15:32

LineRunner, I'm sorry to hear that. Do these men not care bout the children they're hurting?

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 15:35

Their poster campaign is back. Along with claims that Gingerbread are silencing these children.

I thought these children agreed to their images being uses in a dubious campaign about CAFCASS, not Gingerbread? Are they allowed to do that, without the children's consent?

LineRunner · 08/03/2012 15:38

I think that it is possible to complain to the ASA about a poster campaign that is misleading?

oh noes

ThisIsExtremelyVeryNotGood · 08/03/2012 15:39

From what I can tell Frothy these kids are children of well established members of F4J so they've been well indoctrinated.

FrothyDragon · 08/03/2012 15:43

Beat you to it, SGM Wink

Right. How do we go about reporting these posters? Do they need to be linked from the main site?

swallowedAfly · 08/03/2012 15:45

yes there must be someone you can report totally misleading propaganda to. do they come under 'advertising' or something else?

swallowedAfly · 08/03/2012 15:45

it's really offensive to fathers as well i'd imagine who don't see their children as fatherless just because they don't live with their mother ffs.

way to piss every sane person off.
