I don't usually wander onto the MN facebook page but I was pretty horrified to find what looks very much like an MRA agenda posted on there.
I'm trying very hard to see what relevance the photo used for their site has regarding the voices of unheard children. Hmm Looks more like how they would like to see their women to me.

Mumsnet are deleting our posts upthread. As promised to Fathers for Justice. Nice they felt they could help them out here attacking feminists.

I do believe I told you in one of my recent emails, disagreeing with something or other... (I'm a pita, I know) that if you're going to talk the talk, you've got to walk the walk as well. It's all very well saying "We believe you", but then stabbing the FWRS in the back in this manner?

And likewise, I'm not budging. I suspect MN would be very happy to see a more liberal brand of Feminism applied. You're not driving us out.

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 21:54

I got deleted for saying what I thought spydii's characteristics were, and I guess I know now that I was very close to the bone!

A little forensic psychology goes a long way...

MNHQ shame on you.

Dworkin · 06/03/2012 21:55

I'm not falling for the divide and conquer.

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 21:55

MNHQ shame on you again.

MNHQ We believe women. We vote.

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 21:57

MNHQ shame on you once again.

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 21:58

I would like a debate about Fathers for Justice. Will I now be deleted?

FrothyDragon · 06/03/2012 21:59

tut, MNHQ... Shame on you...

Dworkin · 06/03/2012 22:03

Dear MNHQ:

I was shocked to see that this thread had been reduced back to 10 pages when I logged on earlier. I wondered what was going on. Surely shome mistake I thought. But no. You appear with a post and inform us on a 'women's rights' thread that we ought to be polite to attacts from people who obviously hate that we are flexing our muscles and speaking our minds.

I feel like throwing myself under a horse. Which is so last century I know. Perhaps I should just shut up and put up.

Eternally your ever grateful servant

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 22:04

Come on, MNHQ, you do need to respond.

'We believe you. We vote.'

LineRunner · 06/03/2012 22:05

MNHQ

Don't delete me.

Believe me.

FrothyDragon · 06/03/2012 22:08

Nyac · 06/03/2012 22:08

Mumsnet you're not deleting personal attacks. You're deleting criticisms of F4J. You even deleted the post where I quoted the Telegraph article where Matt O'Connor spoke about why he broke up the organisation.

What's going on her. You justify men coming on here saying things like "I could probably rape you all and get away with it" under the claim that it's not a personal attack and freedom of speech, but you're deleting opinions that we hold.

What is your rule exactly, because for quite a while nothing seems consistent about your deletions policy.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 06/03/2012 22:09

I have reported a post just to ask MNHQ to come over here and explain what is going on.

(Nubbles here - back in my old name so that MN can see easily who I am)

RowanMumsnet · 06/03/2012 22:09

@FrothyDragon

In fact, after reading this, I feel a little betrayed, MNHQ.... Unless Nadine is lying, MNHQ have practically invited Spydii et al... "Mumsnet - they have just contacted me about the posts on their forum. If you feel that a post is derogatory or anti men or makes unfounded allegations about F4J please use the "report" button on their message board system. They are also going to have a look through the posts. Thanks Nadine"

Taken from the F4J facebook page...

Hello

Sorry, I can only respond quickly tonight because frankly, I was supposed to knock off about five hours ago.

The only contact (as far as I know) we have had with F4J is via the Mumsnet twitter account's open feed. You're welcome to have a look via @mumsnettowers. The wording Nadine O'Connor is reported to have used on their Facebook page is not the wording in our Tweets to her.

Thanks
MNHQ

Now I'm getting conspiracy minded.
What is going on?

SmellsLikeTeenStrop · 06/03/2012 22:11

Is there any way of finding out why a particular message was deleted. One of mine was and I can't think why.

SinicalSanta · 06/03/2012 22:11

x'd.

but none the wiser

Nyac · 06/03/2012 22:12

Well there must be some serious mind-reading going on, because Nadine and her pals got our posts deleted.

FrothyDragon · 06/03/2012 22:12

Thank you for clarifying, Rowan.
