The best anti-porn evidence I've seen.

(Please watch with caution, some scenes are upsetting)

Andre...you have the strangest turn of phrase....its all a bit "confucius say"...please go and preach your philosophy on love and what it is to be loved somewhere else.

you sound like your trying to justify something. if what im reading is how this documentary turns out there is no justification.

HaggisNeepsnTatties · 04/04/2011 22:58

But Andre, you accept yourself that love can be corrupted etc. How do you know that your DD won't fall for this kind of "love"??

ScarlettWalking · 04/04/2011 22:58

I also saw this when it first aired and was horrified. I really hope she is ok now.

hellymelly · 04/04/2011 22:58

I'm not sure I can face watching that. I read the directors account and that was horrendous enough. I have never watched porn ,I don't understand why some people seem able to separate from and objectify women. My DH doesn't have any interest in porn either, for the same reasons,he sees it as abuse, rather than "sexy".

AyeRobot · 04/04/2011 22:59

Usual word salad from Andre. Probably best avoided.

Nasty, nasty business. But all men watch porn and it's harmless, right? It's not like they're having an affair or anything. Hmm

PeterAndreForPM · 04/04/2011 23:02

I wonder why Andre only ever pops up on rape/porn threads to peddle his disturbing shit

Do you merely search the key words "rape" and "porn", Andre ?

I would google you, but I fear I would puke

and I have a touch of emetophobia, so best swerved, I think

VicarInaTutu I'm not trying to be clever. Try to open your mind a bit and see what goes on in this world. If you are a vicar you should try especially hard to do this.

ThatVikRinA22 · 04/04/2011 23:09

no actually im not a vicar. i am a police officer and bullshit is usually wasted on me.
have we met?

MillyR · 04/04/2011 23:11

Can I ask (sorry if it a bit off topic), has anybody come across internet debates between straight men, or mostly men, where they have a debate about their concerns over exploitation in porn, or whether some porn companies should be avoided, or who should be responsible - the producer, the distributor or the consumer.

Are these debates happening anywhere?

Andre1960 · 04/04/2011 23:20

Oh dear. A bit like being in a hen house with clucking chickens here! Maybe I should try to be a little more conventional and speak of my shock and outrage. I'm sometimes here for these, dittany. Not nearly so often as you, I think.

tigerchilli · 04/04/2011 23:23

Anyway, has the thread been derailed by Andre? I've been a feminist from about 13 (even though I didn't identify as one because I had not yet been introduced) whereby, I knew things were wrong, lots of things, but especially within the area of porn.

Andre, I have no desire to debate or even discuss woman hatred with a man who I would guess gets off on displaying his sadistic tendencies by being overtly controversial on an anti-porn feminist thread.

In addition I don't "need to watch it again" as I just have and my empathy gene is a blinking and a flickering just fine.

Thanks. I'm reading through the comments now.

Mumbybumby · 04/04/2011 23:43

Like honeymum I watched this when it was first shown. I was only about 21 and it shocked and sickened me.

It was the first time I'd ever seen anything porn related and I've never forgotten it.

He may see women as clucking chickens but I see him as a cock....

MillyR · 04/04/2011 23:52

I find it difficult to believe that there is a market for English women and that a woman can make more money for being English. It seems to me more about getting women to a location where they are a long way from family and friends, in order to make them more vulnerable, remove them from any other reality, and make them less likely to get out of the situation.

K999 · 04/04/2011 23:54

Do you mean "English" or "English speaking"??

MillyR · 05/04/2011 00:02

English - it was saying that near the beginning of the documentary. They bring girls over from England because they can get more money for being English. I find that very difficult to believe.

tigerchilli · 05/04/2011 00:11

Yup Milly. Maybe these Johns are not content with double anal/ vaginal/ ATM/ gang bangs/ spitting/ strangulation/ verbal abuse (makes them feel so much better about themselves when they've got an underdog to abuse) that for variety and and to keep things from becoming mainstream boring abusive they need another accent! It's even better when they know they've been separated from family, friends and safety.

It's all part of the exploitation, degradation, humiliation and fear. It's what gets so many of them off.

Because Policeofficerinatutu isn't a well known song about diversity.

Andre1960 · 05/04/2011 00:27

I'm bored now. Good night all.

tigerchilli · 05/04/2011 00:34

Andre: not sure if I was clear in my post.

However, I said - "Andre, I have no desire to debate or even discuss woman hatred with a man who I would guess gets off on displaying his sadistic tendencies by being overtly controversial on an anti-porn feminist thread."

Which means, do not address me again in this thread. Or to use Mary Daly's observation - I believe you to be a "female energy sucking vampire"

I have no time for your sort.
