...what is it then? I keep reading about it as a reason for us all Lying Our Terrible Lies about being harrassed in the street, or beaten up at home or what have you.

It's making me feel a bit left out TBH.

Can someone drop me a hint about why we're talking about these things, given that they cannot be true in the egalitarian paradise in which we live?

Personalised ladies pint glasses for emasculating nearby men with?

Beachcomber · 28/09/2010 23:48

All for it.

Better burn this thread after though because it will be used as serious forensic evidence that all women want to cut men up (even their nice dads, sons and DHs).

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 23:50

dittany - it comes hand-tooled. In case you're not enough of a massive tool to do it yourself.

I was wondering about a nodding lady - you could prop it up next to your friendly local mansplainer intellectual, allowing you to sneak off and read/talk to interesting people/get some fresh air.

Ooh can she be wearing an apron?

With maybe a version in stockings and suspenders for St Valentine's?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 29/09/2010 00:01

She'll be wearing a dressing gown, but comes with a LBD for dinner parties (a particularly busy time for her)

OP posts:
Beachcomber · 29/09/2010 00:03

Mules? With the dressing gown I mean.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 29/09/2010 00:06

I thought you were suggesting christmas mules. Was thinking how handy.

ANd personalisable soundcard. Choose from:
a) All those nasty feminists would be so much happier if they just put a little make up on and smiled more often
b) No, I really do like handwashing your boxer shorts, the skiddier the better. You work SO HARD you don't have time to wipe, do you darling?
c) OooOOO that cock is so BIG! Nearly as big as your intellect darling!
d) It's fine for you to spend the food money on beer. I should eat less anyway, I'd hate to get fat.

Beachcomber · 29/09/2010 00:14

Well they could have a red bow I suppose.

Or be accessorized with floppy ear head sets à la Playboy?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 29/09/2010 00:17

I really think we are going to sell out here darlings.

mmm, definitely needs the all events soundcard "mmm, how interesting, really?, how clever of you, giggle giggle, mmm"

This will free countless women to run away and form a freedom army without anyone noticing until the batteries fail.

OP posts:
Beachcomber · 29/09/2010 00:22

Might I suggest 'thank you for setting me straight' on a loop?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 29/09/2010 00:24

or "mmmm mmmm mmmm yes feminism has gone too far"

can we have matching hats? all the really proper cabals have matching hats.

Sakura · 29/09/2010 02:09

Pffft, why is everyone on this thread being so sarcastic. Are you accusing the OP of thought crime ?

nooka · 29/09/2010 05:59
Grin
msrisotto · 29/09/2010 07:17

My (soon to be DH, more fool him!) affectionately calls me a tin-pot feminist dictator. I must be the chief of this secret force! Wow, it really is a well kept secret....

marenmj · 29/09/2010 07:52

Nonsense! Why should the feminist dictator have to have a tin pot instead of a real hat?

I'm telling you, we need proper hats, especially the dictator. Surely you have noticed that the male dictators all get nice, fancy hats and don't have to make do with tin pots Hmm??

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2010 08:24

They don't have pots as they might need to be washed.

Oh - wait - that's what we're here for, isn't it.

sunny2010 · 29/09/2010 08:36

I dont really relate to a lot on here as I dont know any men that dont do childcare or housework. Every man I know does as much as women overall. I dont know any man that would expect his dinner cooked or the house clean when they got in. If it is done then bonus if not they will do it or we can both get on with it when we are less tired.

Neither me or any of my family are feminists but this is just how men are meant to behave and how ime most do. (Maybe I live in a bubble!) I suppose a lot of stuff like this I think you dont need feminism for this area personally you just need to get with a decent man.

With the porn and the hooters type of issues personally I havent got a problem with any of that sort of thing. I have no problem with male strippers either and just think a lot of people want to do it and enjoy it so why not? If someone is getting abused different story but other than that there are much bigger issues in the world than worrying about women who willingly want to do these things.

I see a lot of things on this site that I see as man hating statements and lumping all men in the same category and I dont like it. (not just in this section but in other sections). I also think its important to cover both genders problems as there are inequalities for both genders but most are imposed on people by the small group of people in charge, not the average person.

I am coming from a standpoint where no man has ever expected me to wait on them or ever been horrible to me. I have never experienced anything but fair, loving treatment from any men I know, have ever been in contact with or worked for. I have never been sexually harassed or felt worried walking home in skimpy clothes in the middle of the night and I have never been worried about a man hurting me either.

I have even worked in the forces and have never been treated as anything lesser than the men I knew, even the ones in charge. If anything they were extra nice to me and I got to do less work as I got out of the things that I didnt want to do and I know I had a very easy time in comparison to my husband. I had no problem with the fact that I was a girl when I was inside in the warm in the forces whilst watching my husband having to run around in the pouring rain in the mornings Grin. the girls didnt have to do it for very long as our physical training is way wasier and they were always lenient on us because we were female whereas the men always got in trouble.

I suppose that is why I dont relate to much on here. So maybe that has clouded my judgment, and it isnt that I dont know that this goes on but I object to it being the majority of men who do these things or think in this way.
