...what is it then? I keep reading about it as a reason for us all Lying Our Terrible Lies about being harrassed in the street, or beaten up at home or what have you.

It's making me feel a bit left out TBH.

Can someone drop me a hint about why we're talking about these things, given that they cannot be true in the egalitarian paradise in which we live?

What denier? They might be ok...

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 21:27

If it weren't for the whole utopia situation I would feel I was being patronised on here sometimes. For example another considerate poster last night replied to me beginning with "I assume you don't know how websites are made". Of course, how could I? They don't teach that at lady college.

"What denier?" - amateurs.

Shurely "What COLOUR?"

OP posts:
AliceWorld · 28/09/2010 21:30

It's not patronising, you just need to know your place.

Colour! Oh I see, you're one of those are you? I didn't realise we were so avant garde over here

Black opaque 40 denier.

BecauseImWorthIt · 28/09/2010 21:31

And tights not stockings. Just to complete the picture

AliceWorld · 28/09/2010 21:32

Ahem, yes, of course, that's what we do.

(well spotted, we nearly let our guard down there. no-one mention the lady college again. i think we got away with it this time)

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 21:33

BIWI - I just read that as "Black opaque 40 denier" (as in Holocaust denier)

"She who skips with two ropes" - ah I remember the initiation fondly.

And that's why we must all wear them. Rather than the overt dungarees that leave us susceptible we must disguise ourselves in the pop sock, but we can easily flash them upon meeting, that's the beauty.

(Don't you find the dig in a leave a little ring round your leg?)

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 21:38

AW - I am excommunicating you from Feminism, you are no better than a dirrty rotten Denier of Black Opaque 40

OP posts:
AliceWorld · 28/09/2010 21:40

Fine, I'll go off and join equalism then. I've always thought they were much better.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 21:41

Oh sod it, pass the pop socks around - it's a cold night in Hut 101 Misandrist Cabal

So who's going to spill the beans about the Secret Militant Feminist Agenda then? I really want to knooow. I feel I get all the shit from parrotting its mindless propaganda, without any of the gin and teacakes of knowing what's on the To Do List.

OP posts:
wukter · 28/09/2010 21:46

Wukter creeps along shadowy corridor to rap out code on the ancient brickwork.
TAP TAP TAP No one may speak of the secret misandrist cabal, but I have infor....

A swish of a cloak, the flash of the dagger.
Muffled thump.

Silence.

AliceWorld · 28/09/2010 21:46

It's not funny SF. They believe that people should be equal, not like you mean feminists. When did you ever fight for equality? Its all votes, equal pay and sharing housework with you lot. Pffft. The poor menz, they don't get a look in.

I have always wondered, the derogatory term "Menz" which I have been brainwashed into using by the power of your rhetoric. Is it meant to indicate the immediate snoreworthy boredom that accompanies the introduction of the "but it's worse for men" argument?

In the same way that Goodbye derives from God Be With Ye, is "What About The Menz" a contraction of the original "What About the Men" ?
