I just thought it would be nice to have a thread on people waiting for smear results

I've just had my first one and currently waiting two weeks , I'm quite anxious as they found cervix ecropian and I've been having bleeding after sex

Anyone interested in joining for a hand hold and to support each other?

@emily199027 thrush?!? THat may be part of it but certainly doesn't account for your symptoms, it sound like you have been fobbed off, get rigging them again and tell them , I'm angry for you! Xx

@butterflykiss00
I've spoke to my cousin who works in A&E and she's told me to go back and demand a blood test and they actually look at my symptoms. She said thrush wouldn't cause bleeding between periods/after sex and all my other symptoms. She also said because of our family history, they should be scanning my ovaries to check.
Absolute pain in the arse!

Any news for you?

butterflykiss00 · 11/04/2019 21:09

@emily199027 what a nightmare, I hope you hear sorted, I have no news really just waiting on gynaecologist appointment and got that letter today , I posted it in the thread xx

butterflykiss00 · 12/04/2019 08:17

emily199027 · 12/04/2019 08:35

Good luck! Let me know what they say!

The nausea is so bad today, it was last night too. I'm so tired too but we've got a teething nearly 1 year old so I'm up and down in the night 😴 it could just be tiredness because of that and a busy life!

How are you today?

butterflykiss00 · 12/04/2019 09:00

It could be! My hairs been falling out loads got some bald patches , don't know if it's baby related or maybe a vitamin deficiency or something.
Il let you know what they say , hopefully nothing x

OP posts:
emily199027 · 12/04/2019 09:05

That happened to me too, I was told it was baby related. It's starting to grow back now thank god. It really got me down!

butterflykiss00 · 12/04/2019 10:57

Aw that's good then! It's not that bad but I know how to hide it well haha, just waiting on doctor ringing now, hopefully not when I'm on my driving lesson 😯 or I'd have to wait until Monday ! When I spoke to the receptionist she said they would of sent three letter if my blood test was borderline , but I had that ca125 thing so not sure what that means u less they tested it for other stuff o can't remember what the nurse said x

I have a thyroid problem, for repeat bloods in 4 weeks, makes sense with the hair loss , fatigue and hoarse voice! It does say on google that it can cause spotting and bleeding. I'm assuming it's not that bad to have this? My mum has it but had her thyroid gland removed after complications

OP posts:
butterflykiss00 · 14/04/2019 11:44

@emily199027 how r u doing x

OP posts:
emily199027 · 14/04/2019 12:15

@butterflykiss00 did the doctor say that's what could be causing your spotting? What happens between having repeat bloods?

I'm okay, nausea seems to have stopped for now. I picked up my prescription on Friday, it was an oral tablet...only ones and had to take is as soon as possible. The pharmacist told me to go back to the doctor if I still have symptoms in 7 days...but I don't have symptoms for thrush so how do I know if it's gone? 😂🤔

butterflykiss00 · 14/04/2019 13:50

I was in the middle of a driving lesson when he called but I did google it , I don't think it accounts for the cramps and bleeding tbh, I just have to do nothing until bloods are repeated.

I've been getting cramps again that feel awful, not hurting but kinda uncomfortable and sex was painful at the beginning last night it was awful, I also keep getting bouts of nausea , almost like if I was pregnant the hungry type feeling ones if that makes sense.

Haha that's a point , I suppose all you can do is go back on 7 days ! What a bloody joke.

@butterflykiss00 that's the exact same as me! I've actually done two tests because I thought it was pregnancy symptoms. How odd!!!

butterflykiss00 · 14/04/2019 20:21

@emily199027 mine were negative too 😂

It's all strange I hope one of us ets to the bottom of it, I'm sure it's got nothing to do with thyroid though, especially the pain and spotting x

OP posts:
emily199027 · 14/04/2019 21:10

Me too 😩 it feels like I'm ready to start my period too but it just never arrives! X

butterflykiss00 · 15/04/2019 10:11

@emily199027 same !! But I haven't had one since before I was pregnant

Hi girls, I received my results today and all okay; I can't tell you the relief! I only waited 2 weeks.
The letter does just say I was tested for hpv virus and as that was negative no further tests need to be carried out.

howwilliknoww · 15/04/2019 12:02

Hope that everyone else still waiting get some answers soon x

butterflykiss00 · 15/04/2019 12:18
