Anyone waiting on smear results want to join?

I just thought it would be nice to have a thread on people waiting for smear results

I've just had my first one and currently waiting two weeks , I'm quite anxious as they found cervix ecropian and I've been having bleeding after sex

Anyone interested in joining for a hand hold and to support each other?

It is but I'm wondering if everything's okay then? But I don't know really bothered me at first now it's been so long I'm a bit meh about it

I have got my results letter at last - 5 weeks and 1 day since having the smear - and it was normal. Such a relief!

9 weeks 3 days now since i had mine. I rang the doctors 2 weeks ago, they said not to worry that i will get a letter soon. Hard not to worry tho, everytime i get home and see the post has been i panic.

Finally got mine back after 9 weeks. All clear thankfully 😊

Had mine a couple of weeks ago, told me it's taking up to 12 weeks to hear back

ch3rrycola 12 weeks is ridiculous isn't it?
Hopefully i hear back soon.

Hey just jumping on. 2.5 weeks and waiting now.

A little update called today and was told try again in 3 weeks if my sample is still not back they will class it as lost bit pissed of tbh in 3 weeks time it'll be like 3 months since I had it done

Just wanted to give an update. Got my results all clear, one day short of 3 weeks. In Greater Manchester area.

@butterflykiss00 Good luck and I know it is it didn't bother me at first but 3 months? Absolute joke and I'm worried a bit because I'm pregnant now like if something is wrong god forbid and they've lost the result what happens next? X

@anitagreen that is a worry especially now you'll have to wait until after birth!

Just had my results back today - 4 week wait, although I was warned that they were running up to 6/7 weeks at the moment.

Smear is normal - I was so relived I was shaking. My sister is currently undergoing treatment for cervical cancer and our other sister and our mom died of cancer (bowel and cervical) in the last three years so I was really feeling beyond anxious. (plus I'd not been attending smear tests so I know I've been very lax)

@myrtleWilson that's good news! So happy for your results , thankyou I never thought I would be exited to be prodded and poked but I need answers 🙂

I don't know if anyone remembers me but I had my colposcopy appointment at hospital yesterday after having an abnormal smear result.

Thankfully the nurse didn't have to take any biopsies or do any treatment, everything looked fine! I will get recalled in 3 years.

I am beyond relieved, I was so worried when that letter turned up.

I'm back from Hols and still no results letter. Will have to call my Drs surgery on Monday to see what's happening.... so frustrating x

@butterflykiss00 yeah pretty rubbish! She def said three weeks, now nearing 5!

@BertieDrapper it's awful isn't it , it's worse knowing there's nothing you can do either. If only We could get the labs number haha
