Anyone else excited about the women's euros? I'd love to follow the progress of the teams (especially England) with any football-supporting Mumsnetters. Thrilled that it's a home tournament, commiserations to Scotland and Wales for not making it through qualification. Huge congratulations to NI, qualifying for the very first time.

Doesn't have to be just match-related, either - comments on the background to each women's team (especially from non-British fans), and of course the kits all welcomed.

Interesting discussion in half time about diversity in women's football.

Rooster25 · 12/07/2022 18:01

that is bad news for the Netherlands!

AndHatTrickMeadDancing · 12/07/2022 18:20

It is indeed.

Just got home, hoping for some second half goals. They said it is drizzling there, I wish it would here

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:22

Denmark are very wasteful with their chances.

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:26

We had some drizzle earlier for about 5 minutes

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:32

Goal, Harder

AndHatTrickMeadDancing · 12/07/2022 18:46

That is not want they need if they are to progress, hope Harder is ok

AndHatTrickMeadDancing · 12/07/2022 18:52

What a save!

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:53

Sooo close for Finland.

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:55

Denmark deserved the win, they were the better team.

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 18:56

Back later for Germany v Spain. I fancy Germany for that one.

AndHatTrickMeadDancing · 12/07/2022 19:12

Agree Denmark deserved the win.

I love a summer of sport, so pleased the Euros are on, see you in a hour

AndHatTrickMeadDancing · 12/07/2022 19:13

But I'm going Spain!

Pushing30 · 12/07/2022 20:07

Shocking pass from the goalkeeper.

Interesting discussion in half time about diversity in women's football.

It’s appalling, players, coaches and match officials.

It’s appalling, players, coaches and match officials.

It is.

I should have said 'lack of diversity' as that was what was being discussed.

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 20:33

I am enjoying this match.

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 20:37

Good goal

Pushing30 · 12/07/2022 20:50

Yes it's been good so far

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 21:27

What a save!

tobee · 12/07/2022 21:35

Trying to remember if a womens football tournament has had prime time coverage on terrestrial tv before?

You've probably already discussed this upthread.

Loving the atmosphere at Brentford!

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 21:42

BBC showed the World Cup in France and I think Euros 2017 was on Channel 4

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 21:46

I think the She Believes Cup was also on the BBC

tobee · 12/07/2022 21:48

Although She Believes not our prime time. Smile

DuncinToffee · 12/07/2022 22:01

Do the Olympics count? Wink

Good win for Germany
