Just setting up a chat to firm up plans for a Southern meet up and a Northern meet up.

Lets see who is interested, then firm up locations and dates.

I know there are a few of us who want to come but might not be able to make it, so no judgement at all for those who decide nearer the time that they can’t make it. Hope to meet some of you this year!

I really enjoyed the London meet last year and would love to do it again. I've been away from the threads this year so far (MIL v ill), but I have a pile of read books to add (hopefully soon).

I’m up for the London meet up, depending on dates. Last year’s was lovely - relaxing, good company & book chat, bookshop browsing, and a pub lunch. Would thoroughly recommend 😊

@BiscuitsBooks Yes we did it via email last year. If those who are interested in a northern meet-up, even tentatively, could message me their email that would be great.

Let’s do the same for London, pop me a PM and I’ll drop an email when we have some numbers and we’ll poll a date. Even if you are tent still worth it but can post date here. Outside of date the rest stays on email to avoid Dave the Trucker 🤣

For LON at the moment thinking of June due to someone who lives overseas being in the UK then, but can work it out.

I'll pM for London, there's a gig I quite fancy on 2nd June, so that date would be perfect for me. Probably not for anyone else though

I'd consider London. Would have to convince DH that I wasn't meeting up with Hugh Grant and/or a mad axe murderer.

I've PMed for both as well. The northern locations suggested so far would all be doable for me. I feel London would be much more date dependent, but a definite maybe at this stage.

I don't know if it's just me, but when I tried to type my gmail address into the PM, a whole string of weird characters came up. So I hope you can actually see the email address (even though I think you both have it already, as a result of the last Manchester meet up).

As a result of trying to send PMs, which I never do (!), I also found a message from a 50-Booker from last year that I had never seen before. 😳I'm technologically challenged!

I also do the over-talking thing when I'm nervous, so I'm glad to learn I'm not alone. At worst, I have been known to go full-on American and overshare my entire life story, to reactions of polite shock and bafflement (just kill me now, ha!).

Last year's meet up in Manchester was great though (and surprisingly unscary).

@cassandre the same thing happened to me with my email. I have tried to spell it without @ in it. @AgualusasLover let me know whether it works!
