Just setting up a chat to firm up plans for a Southern meet up and a Northern meet up.

Lets see who is interested, then firm up locations and dates.

I know there are a few of us who want to come but might not be able to make it, so no judgement at all for those who decide nearer the time that they can’t make it. Hope to meet some of you this year!

I’m not going to make it, I’m afraid - I was hoping to squeeze in a couple of hours in London. this morning before choir rehearsal locally all afternoon and concert this evening but I think I will be too exhausted! Have a great time.

I am on the bus that will take me to the place. It can take 30 mins or it can take an hour, so feel free to grab a table and let others know. If I remember correctly there are some long ones in the middle.

p.s. for those who haven’t met me or cannot remember I am wearing a white and yellow striped shirt, have a basket bag (very suitable for the weather) and glasses.

I am still deciding what to wear - aagh - but will be leaving very shortly!

Clothing dilemma is weather related rather than anything else.

I’m a bit late with this warning but Waterloo Bridge is CLOSED TO TRAFFIC - for anyone intending to come by bus from the Aldwych end

On my way! Agree what to wear was a problem. Opted for 3/4 lengths and water proof sandals. Think I’m going to freeze!

@Terpsichore yep, I got booted off the bus unless I fancied ending up in Elephant and Castle. Now in an Uber from Holborn - it says ETA 10.58 but who knows.

Your poor daughter @bibliomania, I hope the weather is better ooop North than it is in London.

Thanks @DesdamonasHandkerchief ! The weather isn't bad, and she has learned from last time that boots need to stay in the tent overnight. Not a mistake you make twice.

Hello all! 4 of us are here and have set up camp on one of the long tables in the lobby - just come in and turn to the right and you’ll see us. Cherrypi is wearing a dress with books printed on it! 📚

Wonderful. I am in immense traffic at the start of London Bridge.

My train is stuck somewhere in Essex because of signaling problems 🙃 hopefully be with you by lunch!

Thanks again all for a lovely meet-up. Just a warning that buses from the S Bank into the Aldwych area are still up the spout so probably best to rely on the tube for any return journeys.
