Released September 2025!!

OP posts:

@BabyCatFace it says valentine is her closest friend but in the other books he’s her half/step brother. Hopefully the editors have picked up everything else! I love TIBH but the mistake with edie annoys me every time!

Toddler wants to play with daddy before work. Hurray!!

the80sweregreat · 02/09/2025 08:24

I suppose that a relative can also be a friend too.
Charlotte probably didn’t have many of those tbf.

Yes that's what I mean - in the next chapter it clarifies they were also step siblings. Her half brother is also mentioned but he was a different character

HoneyButterPopcorn · 02/09/2025 09:19

So already I’ve missed my stop and am having to backtrack to get to work…

Teddy589 · 02/09/2025 10:12

My kindle version has arrived (and I have now finished IBH, having read TRG out of order) but I don’t want to start it before I go on my holiday on Saturday! I have too much to do before going away to sit down with it now…

Latenightreader · 02/09/2025 10:14

I woke at 4am, downloaded it and listened to the first few minutes before going back to sleep. I have a commute of over an hour so listened to a fair bit on my way to work!

What’s the Edie mistake?

Secondthoughtso · 02/09/2025 13:35

@BabyCatFace got to it thanks! Good it’s explained.

@myheartburnstheretoo7 grant says edie is his niece which would make him Rachel ledwells cousin but rachel goes on about how it’s her aunt!

I think she used aunt to describe Edie because the age disparity made it closer to that type of relationship?

I teach children who the granny of two siblings in the school has children the same age. So the children are uncle/nephew. But I always think of them as cousins. That's kind of the other way round

chuzzlewitthechipmunk · 02/09/2025 16:22

You’re all a bad influence and as I was walking past Waterstones earlier a copy jumped into my hand…

NotMyRealAccount · 02/09/2025 16:25

My copy is due to arrive any time. I wish it would get here, I want to play on the Spoilers thread too and I daren't until I've read it.

mylovedoesitgood · 02/09/2025 17:27

Loving it so far. Five chapters in.

northcluegc · 02/09/2025 18:03

I'm still waiting impatiently for my copy to be delivered!

butmumineedit · 02/09/2025 18:11

Just got home from my inset day to a lovely Amazon delivery , told DH he can sort tea out as my night is now planned. Pjs on in a min and then reading all night long . Can’t wait

ReginaChase · 02/09/2025 18:13

Started it on Audible in the gym after work. I needed to fully concentrate, so no running, just walking on the treadmill. I'm 10k worth of listening in already!

TheendofmrY · 02/09/2025 18:35

Ooh I’m so grateful for this thread popping up in Active. I thought it was later in the month, but it’s waiting in my Audible library. That’s absolutely made my day!

Secondthoughtso · 02/09/2025 19:16

on chapter 13. Really enjoying it! Want to speed through but also want to make it last! I’ll be getting out for a lot more walks with the motivation of listening to it!

Lifejigsaw · 02/09/2025 19:59

Just gone to buy it - £18 on kindle?!? Robbery - it’s only £15 for the hardback. I’m actually quite annoyed.

NotMyRealAccount · 02/09/2025 20:12

Santa's been! But I'm not opening the package until after GBBO.

HoneyButterPopcorn · 02/09/2025 20:43

Chapter 16.

outofofficeagain · 02/09/2025 20:59

Ooh I’m on chapter 15!

HoneyButterPopcorn · 02/09/2025 22:47

Now the real question is - headphones in bed and no sleep?

Latenightreader · 03/09/2025 08:14

I fell asleep listening and had to rewind about three hours! Thankfully nothing spoilers was happening when I woke up. I'm working from home today so will listen during tea break/lunch!

Snapespeare · 03/09/2025 08:55

Popping in very briefly to say I'm on chapter 49 - it's magnificent and I am delighted with it thus far.
One of my favourite things not a spoiler is how Galbraith manages to create a picture of a new character in very few words and I can immediately picture the type of person they are - or a location and I'm there.

Off I pop again, I have reading to do!

I don’t know her publishers (or is it Amazon?) can justify the price for the Kindle e-book. Surely it costs less to produce than the paper version? In the end I paid £14.25 for the hardback (5% student discount) which feels reasonable and I’m enjoying reading it, it’s just a pain in the arse lugging it around.
