I've missed out on two now. I quite like the idea, anyone else?

Sorry coco, never got round to emailing you what I'm sending so I'm sticking a surprise in the post to missing - I hope it isn't a duplicate...

mehdismummy · 28/01/2008 18:35

can someone forward on the email with the addresses on to [email protected] thanks asap

swampster · 28/01/2008 18:46

hi mehdismummy - I've sent it to you

FlameNFurter · 28/01/2008 21:15

Posted mine first class today

FlossieT · 28/01/2008 22:19

I've posted mine - thanks, Coco

The envelope vs Jiffy bag was a tip from GreenMetropolis - apparently a lot of standard paperbacks do fit through the slot for the large letter. But for multiple postings I guess you are right, it is more prudent to stick with the padding.

Looking forward to this.

mehdismummy · 29/01/2008 15:54

posted mine this morning. Sorry about delay

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 29/01/2008 17:07

posted mine yesterday, but 2nd class cos I'm a cheapskate.

I used to sell books on GreenMetropolis, but found they sat around for too long in boxes waiting to be sold. Found it good for selling on recent bestsellers though.

rosmerta · 29/01/2008 18:50

Posted mine today - 1st class [smug grin]!

FlossieT · 29/01/2008 21:32

I've only sold a couple of books on green metropolis and both were really very random. I list books that I'm unlikely to reread but can't quite bear to lug to the charity shop

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2008 21:38

Forgive me ladies - pants week and not posted book, although I will try tomorrow after DH Grans funeral

whispywhisp · 30/01/2008 16:36

Thank you Flame...book rec'd yesterday. I've seen the book before but never read it.....looks very interesting! Thank you.

lunavix · 30/01/2008 16:40

Sorry ladies I posted mine today, it's been a shocking week already. It's first class so should arrive tomorrow

FlameNFurter · 30/01/2008 16:43

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 30/01/2008 23:24

Thanks for the book, rosmerta. I've read books by that author in the past, and enjoyed them. So looking forward to this one!

mehdismummy · 31/01/2008 18:08

did you get my book physcomum? Sorry for my taste!

FlameNFurter · 31/01/2008 19:15

ooh she did - she told me.

swampster · 31/01/2008 22:34

Thanks dinny - it's actually a book I very nearly bought for myself. Really looking forward to reading it.

rosmerta · 01/02/2008 11:47

Thanks flossie, got my book yesterday. Must admit not something I would've picked up off the bookshelf but I'll give it a go!

FlameNFurter · 01/02/2008 14:12

Soooooo - the system with the other groups seems to be that you start a thread with "Flame's book" or summat, then when you have that book, you go on and chat about it with thems that have read it. So I can go and chat on a thread with Psycho about the book she sent me etc.

Sound right to you lot?

At the moment our title is looking like "The nameless group: Psycho's book"

Psychomum5 · 01/02/2008 18:48

to mehdismummy, meant to come on and tell you that I had indeed got your book!!!

I have, altho not started it yet!

TBH, not a book I would neccessarily have chosen for myself but am more than willing to give it a go and may surprise myself!

I joined this book swap to widen my book reading interest as I seem to be stuck in somewhat of a 'rut' as it were, so this is good for me.

And also, thankyou for the little note

and for the others here who don't have my email, I have got one specially for MN....

psychomum5 @ gmail . com (altho without any spaces!)

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 01/02/2008 23:17

Will set up new threads tomorrow in the book swap circle topic.

Read about 40 pages or so of rosmerta's book, and enjoying it.

Have been a bit AWOL on MN - another person here with a crappy week, went back to work on Wednesday after year on maternity leave, and not at all happy with DD2's new nursery. Thinking of withdrawing her already! She cried all day, wouldn't eat, and most seriously they opened a door on her and trapped her bloody finger.

Anyway... deep breaths... back tomorrow.
