I've missed out on two now. I quite like the idea, anyone else?

Btw, how do people feel about short stories? This can be a bit of a love-it-or-hate-it area and I have a couple of possibilities I may post on.

missingtheaction · 22/01/2008 11:45

i am up for anything!

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 22/01/2008 12:00

dinny and mehdismum, haven't had your CATS ... maybe it's slow at the moment...

Anyone seen lunavix or is in touch with lunavix?

She's the only one I've not heard from since last week, and she has to confirm soon.

mehdismummy · 22/01/2008 14:22

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 22/01/2008 17:15

FlossieT, sorry to hear your weekend was awful. Thanks for your CAT today. Other people are welcome to e-mail me your book title suggestions if you've decided on them .

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 22/01/2008 18:22

oh and dinny, i did get your message, thanks!

Re short stories, I'm not usually that keen, but am happy to give them a go. Especially if someone's found some really good ones!

Am not totally averse to bestsellers and the kind that appear in the 3 for 2s, quite a few are bestsellers for a reason!, but there is a risk lots of people will have read them already. This is not necessarily a disadvantage I suppose, it takes the pressure of reading a book circle book that month!

lunavix · 23/01/2008 13:44

Sorry!

What do people think of fantasy btw? I love my Terry Goodkind but don't know if it will be anyone else's cup of tea

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 23/01/2008 14:00

Ha ha! Tracked you down at last. I'm getting quite good at this stalking malarky.

TBH I'm not keen on fantasy, but if I guess if other people are willing to give it a go I'll try.

Tomorrow I will send an e-mail to everyone containing everyone else's names and addresses. This means that if someone drops out, the whole thing won't collapse - we can just send to the next one on the list.

Obviously, it'd be nice if everyone stayed in for the year, but we need contingencies!

Can everyone be ready to send out their book by Monday 28th? Then we'll stick to the 28th for subsequent months. That means everyone should have their book by the 1st of the month.

Let me have your titles, so we can rule out duplicates (CAT or e-mail).

rosmerta · 23/01/2008 23:13

But coco, you're going to see what I'm sending you! Do you still want me to email or do you want a surprise?!

whispywhisp · 24/01/2008 11:21

Coco - You've done a great job - thank you. 28th ok with me.

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 24/01/2008 22:21

Have sent the E-mail.

Gotta go, will be back tomorrow to answer queries catch up on posts/e-mails. If there are any!

OP posts:
CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 24/01/2008 22:22

And Rosmerta, gah! Dunno!

OP posts:
rosmerta · 25/01/2008 09:08

Ok, I've chosen my book and I really don't think anyone else will have sent it so why don't I just post it to you & then you still get a surprise?

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 25/01/2008 09:22

Ok!

OP posts:
CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 25/01/2008 09:26

missingtheaction, I don't have your name. Presumably though your first name is the name at the beginning of your e-mail address?

OP posts:
CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 25/01/2008 16:46

Re letting me know book titles, you don't HAVE to do this, but if you're worried someone else might be sending the same book (because it's a bestseller or whatever) then feel free to do so. Then I can at least let you know whether it's one of the titles I know about.

OP posts:
missingtheaction · 25/01/2008 18:28

Yes, that's my name! will cat you the name of teh book I am sending out but don't think anyoen else will have chosen it

FlameNFurter · 26/01/2008 20:43

I'm happy with fantasy etc Lunavix.

Psycho is asking if she can do a hardback? It isn't a huge hardback - tis up to you lot with whether you want to pay the slightly extra postage (assuming it will be slightly higher, haven't gotten round to weighing it yet).

Can we do a new thread for when we have the books? Can it be in the book swap section? Can we have a "title"? (I get oddly overexcited by nicely organised things)

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 26/01/2008 21:37

Flame, hardbacks are fine by me. I like hardbacks.

Yes, we need a new thread, in the new book circle place. Does that mean we need to name our book circle?

Any ideas? Hmm, 'Wine and Cheese', 'Possible Murder and a bit of Mayhem', 'I'd rather have a copy of Closer and a doughnut'?
