I've missed out on two now. I quite like the idea, anyone else?

Hiya Flame...don't worry! I've just been to the library and stocked up with even more to read so I've got plenty to be going on with!

Madhouse...book going in the post to you on Monday.

Coco - will look at that website!

swampster · 21/06/2008 20:42

Are you CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear, Cocodrillo?

swampster · 21/06/2008 20:46

Because if you are, you are about a week behind me !

missingtheaction · 21/06/2008 20:47

I have got two books to send out and have completely lost the plot - who do I send them to as I assume Mehedismummy's not receiving any more. Apologies to anyone waiting!

swampster · 21/06/2008 20:51

Hi missing, sorry about the double-whammy - you are sending to psychomummy - see cocobear's post above.

Did a book from Luna turn up?

Cocodrillo · 22/06/2008 07:14

I emailed luna last week but heard nothing back, flossie.

Cocodrillo · 22/06/2008 22:51

OMG you have to read the Outcast, have just read it in two days flat - unheard of - amazing book.

rosmerta · 23/06/2008 08:33

Who's it by Coco? Yet another book to add to the teetering pile

whispywhisp · 23/06/2008 11:54

Is The Outcast by Sadie Jones?

Cocodrillo · 23/06/2008 12:51

yes, yes, that's the one. Is a library book, or I would lend.

I felt physically torn apart reading it. Sounds a bit melodramatic , but it's true!

I've seen it's a Richard and Judy summer read - to be honest I'm not sure I would want to read it on a sun lounger, as it's so emotionally traumatizing, but it's an excellent read, by a first-time novelist : you would never imagine it was a first novel.

Flamesparrow · 24/06/2008 18:42

I've finished my book I will get it posted asap - would rather be early loved it! I think Psycho has one waiting for me from where she had 2 last time

FlossieTCake · 25/06/2008 23:23

Back from holiday to find two books from Luna! Thanks. If rosmerta doesn't mind I'd like to read before posting on - one of them has been on my want-to-read list for months (50 pages in already - although it is big print), the other I hadn't heard of but sounds good (exactly what I hoped for from this!). Coco (nice new name there), I'll probs have to CAT you again as to where to write comments though as I have no clue whose book is whose.

LibraryThing is FAB. I got an Early Reviewers copy of something from them in April too which was nice - although you are obliged to write a review of books received under the programme, which of course meant I had to read it twice as I wanted to do it "properly" (perfectionist? moi?). I love that site sooo much I even bought one of their barcode scanners.

Incidentally, if anyone is within striking distance of Cambridge, Galloway & Porter (remainders bookshop) are having a warehouse sale this Sat. Most things a pound, decent literary fiction from e.g. Faber, Bloomsbury, Canongate, as well as a chunk of chicklit and murder (usually stacks of Ian Rankin and Harlen Coben). I shall be there even though I have an obscene backlog so shout if you think I might spot something you'd like!

FlossieTCake · 25/06/2008 23:25

too many brackets there - sorry. heatstroke maybe - sitting out in 34C heat and full sun for 3 hours yesterday to watch historic football (more like team wrestling with a balll vaguely involved somewhere)

rosmerta · 26/06/2008 14:31

that's fine Flossie, I do have a large stack of books waiting to be read. I had a big clean up the other week & found about 5 brand new books I'd bought a few months ago and had forgotten about

FlossieTCake · 27/06/2008 20:36

Ended up sitting up late last night to finish one (couldsn't put it down, although a harrowing read) so have posted it to you today (2nd class cos I'm a cheapskate ). Hopefully should be with you early next week.

whispywhisp · 28/06/2008 21:44

coco...I started The Outcast today. So far....brilliant.

rosmerta · 30/06/2008 20:50

thanks floosie, turned up today! Started reading it in the garden while ds transported sand from his sandpit to the grass!

Very good so far.

whispywhisp · 01/07/2008 11:38

madhouse...TWO books going in the post to you tomorrow. x

Psychomum5 · 01/07/2008 11:54

I finished the second book of the two that mehidsmummy managed to pass on before she 'left'.

I loved the second book I have to say, but not sure who it came from to go and reply on their thread!

I have had no book tho this time!!! has it been sent??

whispywhisp · 01/07/2008 12:13

psychomum...what was the book called?

Psychomum5 · 01/07/2008 12:17

I think flame figured it out for me, but it has 'bookseller' in the title (not sure if we are allowed to say the book titles as yet in case it spoils the surprise for others later IYGWIM!)

whispywhisp · 03/07/2008 14:07

madhouse...two books went in post to you today. Sent first class so should get them tomorrow - Friday. x

TheMadHouse · 03/07/2008 16:06

Thanks Whispy
