I've missed out on two now. I quite like the idea, anyone else?

Can I just confirm who I am sending the Thirteenth Tale on to when I've finished it??!!!! Thanks! x

squilly · 08/05/2008 11:14

I want staircase drawers! What a fab idea!!!

I've been cured of my addiction to the books, though. I've cut back from 2 large boxes full and 2 large bookcases full to just 5 shelves. And some of those will go in the next few weeks.

I've got Elizabeth Buchan's 'That Certain Age'

www.amazon.co.uk/That-Certain-Age-Elizabeth-Buchan/dp/0141009802 if anyone wants that one sending. I bought it last week, starting reading it and realised I'd read it already. It borders on chick-lit, so I'd never send it to the book club. Just cat your deails. if you fancy it.

I'm posting Thirteenth Tale today so it should be with you tomorrow or Saturday (Royal Mail willing!).

Hope your Thursdays are proving as sunny as mine!

whispywhisp · 08/05/2008 12:02

Flossie...can you CAT me your details so I can take a note of your address etc to send on the 13th Tale book once I've read it? Thank you. x

CocodeBear · 08/05/2008 19:46

Flossie, no, I've not heard from Luna.

I'll forward her e-mail address to you.

rosmerta · 08/05/2008 19:51

hi all, just so you know I've posted the next book & received one . Sorry I've been so rubbish but have got loads of stuff on atm & am struggling a little to keep up! But hopefully it will all settle down & I'll be back on track.

13th Tale sounds intriguing, must look that one up. Can't actually think of anything I've read recently and really enjoyed, must get some better books

whispywhisp · 09/05/2008 13:07

squilly...thank you for sending the 13th Tale book...arrived this morning. That's no housework to be done this weekend then!

whispywhisp · 09/05/2008 22:00

squilly....The Thirteenth Tale is...VERY un-put-down-able!

CocodeBear · 09/05/2008 22:08

Am SO going to the library in the morning.

whispywhisp · 10/05/2008 08:50

The 13th Tale is so well written. Absolutely amazing and like I've said before I can't put it down.

CocodeBear · 10/05/2008 15:29

I have my copy of 13th tale.

Am still reading Notes from an Exhibition, but excited about starting this new one.

Also have received my book from Rosmerta. Thanks Rosmerta . I have read this one before, is a great book.

squilly · 10/05/2008 15:58

Hi whispywhisp

So glad you like it! I read it over 3 nights. I loved it.

I'm just re-reading my book from the circle, as I read it a long, long time ago. I'm looking forward to reading it again.

I kind of envy anyone who hasn't read 13th tale, cos it's so readable. Hope you enjoy it too CocodeBear

whispywhisp · 10/05/2008 16:45

Thanks squilly. It's an amazing book. Written in such a way that I've never read before, iykwim! I keep nodding in agreement with what has been written...weird! I was in the middle of reading a different book but when 13th tale turned up I flicked thru it and had to start it. Needless to say my kids aren't getting much in the way of attention this weekend!

rosmerta · 10/05/2008 18:52

I must admit I'm loving the weather atm cos it means ds is happy playing in the garden & I can just sit & read! If we're indoors he always wants me to play with him so don't get much chance to sit down!

I'm definitely off to the library on Monday to see if I can get this 13th Tale.

whispywhisp · 10/05/2008 18:58

Oh dear...I can see all the libraries running out! Have just read a bit more...not easy with two demanding kids so its been put to one side ready for bedtime..so no doubt a late night!

Flame · 10/05/2008 19:13

Whispy - I am getting there I promise

whispywhisp · 10/05/2008 20:09

Don't worry Flame...I'm engrossed in 13th. xx

CocodeBear · 11/05/2008 10:30

Wish I could read in the day. But DD2 is totally kamikaze. If I take my eye of her for a second she's working out a way of crawling headfirst out of upstairs windows using a selection of hastily improvised steps.

It is very wearing.

And we're planning a third. Nutters.

FlossieTCake · 13/05/2008 23:38

Third one's the charm . DS2 was kamikaze - still is at times, but at least now he's 6 the school system takes him off my hands for large chunks of the day (and has to content itself with phoning me continually to complain that he never eats anything or sits still in assembly).

Have emailed lunavix about book. Currently reading chicklit (I know, I know...) as my brain has lost all muscle tone in the last few weeks and I can't face any proper reading.

whispywhisp · 16/05/2008 17:58

Squilly...I've just finished the Thirteenth Tale.....what an absolutely amazing read. I was completely blown away by it. Has to be one of the best books I've ever read. I will now get it off in the post to Flossie - probably on Monday.

Flame · 16/05/2008 18:00

Gah, don't say that whispy

I really want to finish this book. I am going to have a long bubble bath tonight and read oodles

whispywhisp · 16/05/2008 18:24

Flame....don't worry!!!! So long as madhouse knows I may be a bit late posting the book on that's ok with me! Enjoy your soak and read later....xxxx

Flame · 18/05/2008 12:52

I am finally at the stage of having gotten into it - will be in the post really soon

I know it is probably the last thing on her mind, but has anyone heard anything from Mehidsmummy? I'm assuming we're reshuffling the list? I'm soooooooooo pleased she is out of there now (her home... not the swap )

FlossieTCake · 18/05/2008 22:48

I haven't heard anything from Lunavix either, I'm afraid - no book, and I emailed direct as well but haven't heard back :-(

CocodeBear · 19/05/2008 07:42

where's mehdismummy gone? i didn't read her thread and now it's disappeared.

Flame · 19/05/2008 08:03
