whispywhisp · 04/05/2008 13:04

Hi Coco. No book rec'd but I did notice Flame posted on here last few days to say she was still reading it! I have posted mine some time ago.

squilly · 06/05/2008 12:53

I got mine today. Yippeee!!! Thank you CCDB. I've read it before but can't wait to read it again as it was years ago and I vaguely remember enjoying it a lot (was going to say immensley, but couldn't spell it!).

I am just getting to the end of a beautiful book called The Thirteenth Tale. If anyone wants it, CAT me your address and I'll forward it on.

Off to read in the garden for half an hour with a cappucino and ww biscuit!

whispywhisp · 06/05/2008 18:02

Squilly - I would love to read the Thirteenth Tale - I will CAT you, thank you. x

CocodeBear · 06/05/2008 21:14

Glad that you've got the book, Squilly.

Now that you have I feel I can start chasing Rosmerta.

Where to start stalking, hmm...

rosmerta · 06/05/2008 22:00

am so so sorry

will post tomorrow

[grovels on knees for forgiveness]

FlossieTCake · 07/05/2008 00:33

squilly/whispywhisp - would also love to read The Thirteenth Tale; I keep requesting it on ReadItSwapIt but nobody likes my books on there... can I borrow it when you're done, whispy?

whispywhisp · 07/05/2008 06:59

Flossie...yes of course I will forward it on.

Flame - have you sent the book circle book yet? Just bit worried in case you have and its got lost!

CocodeBear · 07/05/2008 07:06

That's a good idea Squilly, posting up here about books you've finished and can pass on. I'll do same. Unless they're from library . I'm lucky in that the library is only five minutes walk away from my house.

Our local library has just started a loyalty scheme. If you withdraw a book you get a stamp on your card, and after six stamps you get a free DVD rental.

I'm in there twice a week with the kids so I'll be putting them out of business .

whispywhisp · 07/05/2008 07:45

I've just read a brilliant book but unfortunately can't pass it on because it was on loan to me but its worth a mention - it was the new one by Jeffery Archer - A Prisoner of Birth. Absolutely excellent read.

Flame · 07/05/2008 07:54

I'm still finishing it!!! I'm sooooooo sorry

Psychomum5 · 07/05/2008 08:07

thirteenth tale.....fabulous book, well worth readng

whispywhisp · 07/05/2008 08:09

Thanks Flame! Atleast I know its not in the depths of Royal Mail's 'lost' pile somewhere!

squilly · 07/05/2008 12:17

I'll forward thirteenth tale today/tomorrow. Just debating whether to post my Ebay parcels or leave it til tomorrow (the heat is making me feel lazy!).

I just loved this so much, I felt the need to share

I don't need it back when it's done, so please, feel free to pass it to whoever! (or should that be whomever?!).

Off to start my bookcircle book.

CocodeBear · 07/05/2008 19:56

Didn't see your post somehow, rosmerta . Thanks, no hurry, I've just started Notes from an Exhibition.

Intrigued about the Thirteenth Tale now.

Psychomum5 · 07/05/2008 20:03

tis fab coco...well I thought so, as did others here

squilly · 07/05/2008 20:36

I agree with psychomum5. Tis fab. It's a lovely, old fashioned feeling book, almost like a classic...so beautifully crafted and all tied up at the end with a little bow.

Like a good block of chocolate.....dreamy and satisfying.

CocodeBear · 07/05/2008 21:26

ooh, ooh, ooh, should I get it out the library to take on holiday?

squilly · 07/05/2008 21:40

I think it would be great holiday reading, but will be worried in case you hate it....can't imagine you would though! There's not much to hate!

Psychomum5 · 07/05/2008 21:42

oh yes take it!!!

may not be for you, but if from the library, at least it is not money spent on a book you hate!

CocodeBear · 07/05/2008 21:43

I will take two books, that one and another just in case

Psychomum5 · 07/05/2008 21:46

gooood plan

FlossieTCake · 08/05/2008 00:12

Coco, have you heard from lunavix at all? I've CAT'ed her a couple of times previously but not got anything back I've actually got loads to read at the moment (reading 5 books at once for the first time since I was about 15...) but don't want to hold the circle up next month!

Looking forward to Diane Setterfield hen you're done, Whipsywhisp! If anyone wants to share Catherine O'Flynn's What Was Lost with me too please shout That's another I keep requesting and keep getting refused...

Shall have to think of books I can post on in return. I am far too attached to my books - I need one of http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/at-europe/at-europe-london-closeup-the-amazing-staircase-042543 these (I've probably posted that link before but it bears repeating!!)

FlossieTCake · 08/05/2008 00:14

Dammit. Sorry I messed up the link.
Try again.
