obsessed with Harry P?

Is anyone else getting really excited (borderline obsessed)about he new HP book?
I have re-read all the other 6 and everytime I scan down active convos and see "Potty" I heart skips a beat or I hold my breath whilst my eyes focus!!

Please tell me it isn't only me and my DC that are counting the days (hours, minutes, seconds...)

I still cry every time I re-read book 6.
Have noticed today that the Lovegoods get mentioned in book 4.Briefly.
I think the character of Luna Lovegood is excellent.

this is only the third time. like to leave a long time between so is newer.
Have to make sure I'm alone for the sad bits tho.
Luna is cool.

I re-read regularly as I want to be up on the plot really well each time new book out.Am sad that this is it now however.Will prob re-read whole series after finishing the new one.

Luna is amazing. She is a good witch and I think would be a match for anyone!

I was just glancing through the paper when I saw the headline "Harry's War". oh, so that's what book seven is going to be about, I thought.

It was Prince Harry and the war in Iraq.. Do I count as obsessed?

Why did Dumbledore trust Snape?

We will find out things in Dumbledore's past. Hopefully this will reveal why he trust Snape. We know we will find out where Snape's loyalties are. The books indicate that it is with voltermort but Dumbledore's past will reveal why he trust Snape and that actually Snape loyalties are with Harry.

I've just finished the first book and would like to make a few comments...ahem [clears throat importantly]

1. Harry's family - it does say that there are only about 10 people in the mirror so conceivably this would be James's family (as Lily was the first witch in her family) and these would be grandparents, great-grandparents etc of Harry so its likely that they are dead hence he had to go with the Dursleys!

1. Harry's eyes - I don't think there's anything to do with Harry's eyes other than they look like Lily's. Its mentioned in every book & I think JKR is a bit more subtle than that, Sirius Black is mentioned in the first book but then not until the 3rd!

1. Unicorn blood - HWMNBN drank unicorn blood which means, according to the centaurs, he has a cursed half-life now! Perhaps a hint on what's to come?!

Phew! Have finally read the whole thread and am loving some of the theories! Am currently reading book 6 (although have read all the others this year too in prep for new one), got through them a bit quicker than expected though!
I definitely think that Snape is good deep down, he killed DD to stay undercover and also to stop Draco doing irreversible wrong. Plus, I don't think Draco has it in him to kill, by all accounts he is a bit of a coward and am sure he was only following orders. Not sure about Harry's scar (or eyes) being a horcrux but not sure he will live either unless he has deeper powers than he has shown so far. He has a lot of work to do in the last book to destroy all the horcruxes too! As for the mirror which Sirius gave Harry, I'm sure it shattered into pieces in the bottom of his trunk at the end of OOTP so not sure how much use it will be. Also I am sure it is mentioned in book 6 why DD now trusts Snape (haven't got that far yet this time).

I have been listening to the Philosophers stone on audio this afternoon (obsessed moi - never) when harry looks in the Mirror of Erised he says he sees people with the same eyes are him!
so maybe their are other wizards in Lily's family ?????
Not sure if muggles appear in wizarding items (photos, mirrors) etc (more reading required)

Maybe it was her grandparents then, or great-grandparents? I'm not sure if anything's said about muggles in pictures?

If he sees what he most wants it surely wouldn't matter if they were muggle or not. if they had his eyes it would suggest they were Liy's family
