This month we're giving you the chance to win TWO copies of We Were Liars - one for you and one for your teen! This gripping tale of a troubled family in New England will give you both plenty to discuss poolside this summer.

We've got 100 copies of We Were Liars to give away to 50 lucky Mumsnetters, so apply for yours now! The giveaway ends on Monday 8 August.

We ask all winners to share their thoughts (and their teen's thoughts) about the book on this discussion thread. However, you don't have to win free copies to take part in the discussion - anyone who has read We Were Liars can post their feedback here (and you can buy a copy of the book now).

Everyone who posts on the thread before 26 September will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.

This giveaway is sponsored by Hot Key Books

Fingers crossed for this, almost bought it last week for my DD. She is a book-worm just like me Smile

I don't have a teenage child but I could persuade my just turned 20 colleague to read it.

Roraima · 06/08/2016 07:33

I'd be very interested in reading it. Thanks for the chance.

Kirstyh87 · 06/08/2016 07:33

my older son and my younger son do not get on at all, the older one has aspergers and the younger one has adhd and they are six years apart. the younger one winds his older brother up constantly, it is a nightmare.

renas · 06/08/2016 07:48

It sounds really interesting would like to read it

hiddenmichelle · 06/08/2016 07:59

looks like a book both my child and I would read!

jacqui5366 · 06/08/2016 08:17

I have just read a lengthy review from the guardian on this book after seeing this post, the book certainly looks interesting, it sounds like it has a complicated plot with a lot of suspense, and a lot of 'real life' dilemmas and situations a lot of children find themselves in, and would certainly be a book I would love to read, as I feel we shelter our children from the outside world and the situations some families find themselves in there is a Cadence in every child's class, and she needs to be understood and heard.

AnimalAddict · 06/08/2016 09:13

I read this book many months ago and I thought it was very enjoyable.
The writing style is pretty different to many other books out there but incredibly compelling. It's such a interesting read full of mystery, drama and suspicion that will leave you questioning everything that is happening in the story :)

janeyf1 · 06/08/2016 09:52

I love gripping stories and the plot looks most intriguing

glennamy · 06/08/2016 11:21

My daughter told me to read this book as she said it was a fantastic read... TBH I wasn't really that interested, however It was very dramatic, interesting and hard to put down. Looking forward to more from this writer... :)

stefalfie11 · 06/08/2016 11:37

iut044 · 06/08/2016 12:32

It sounds that it should be good read .

ell5454 · 06/08/2016 15:28

I loved this book, the twist and the pacing we really fantastic and gripping.
Candace is an unreliable narrator but you really want to work with her to discover what's going on.

They've grown up in this aura of privilege, and it seems that is this she is trying to come to terms with this, growing up and her own issues.

amyhalliday1 · 06/08/2016 16:22

Really grippinh with a great twist
