This month we are delighted to bring you Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise. This hilarious tale from masterful storyteller Sean Taylor and celebrated graphic artist Jean Jullien tells the story of Hoot Owl, an extraordinary owl and master of disguise, and how he uses his expert camouflage powers to trick his unsuspecting prey.

Laugh-out-loud and boldly illustrated, Hoot Owl is the perfect book for reading aloud together and we think you'll probably enjoy it as much as the kids.

Walker Books have asked us to find 50 Mumsnetters to read Hoot Owl and tell us what they think about it on this discussion thread. Go to the giveaway page to find out more and apply for a free copy.

You don’t have to win a free copy to take part in the discussion. Anyone who has read Hoot Owl can post their feedback here, and all who post before 25 April will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2Shop voucher.

We loved this book, my daughter loves owls and reading how silly they can be really makes her chuckle! Its funny how everyone always thinks owls are wise and clever but after working with owls they unfortunately are not very clever!

My children & I loved Hoot Owl. It was very funny! It was quite young reading for my 7 year old, who is used to reading 'older' books for her age, but she enjoyed reading the story aloud to us all. My 5 year old son loves the story and has currently taken his copy to school for his teacher to share with his reception class at storytime. The illustrations were great and I would say this book is perfect for 3-5 year olds.

We really enjoyed this book. The pictures are lovely and bright and as the text on each page is not long my younger toddler was able to concentrate and enjoy the story too. My older toddler quickly understood the repetition of the story and enjoyed finishing my sentences. I am sure the book will become a favourite in our household.
