I don't know if this has been done before but with all the free content on kindle and some
Of it being dire I thought a thread could help find great books at great prices.

I also thought that people could say 'this book is only 20p - has anyone read it is it good?

I started it because

James Herbert - Ash
Is only 20p and I have bought it today
Please post your bargains!

Perfect people was 20p. I'm not sure it still is but it was excellent.
Also David Baldacci zero hour was 20 p a couple of weeks ago. It was excellent. A bit like a young Jack Reacher. Grin
Sorry for any typos, on my phone on the bus!

Kayano · 13/09/2012 19:54

Oh that's good! I keep looking at zero hour and wondering!

If you like Kate Morton, then The Forgotten Garden is a kindle bargain atm.

TheLightPassenger · 15/09/2012 18:33

other 20p books - The Expats by Chris Pavone, Sarah Thornhill by Kate Grenville.

balia · 15/09/2012 18:53

One of the June Thompson's is only 99p - she does a kind of recreation of 'lost' Sherlock Holmes novels, so good if you like that kind of thing.

Brilliant idea for a thread, OP, thanks. have just bought The Forgotten Garden.

The House at Riverton is only 99p, if anyone's not read it. I loved it. The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf is also 99p and was fairly good, from what I remember.

Thanks, just downloaded the forgotten garden.

For anyone that doesn't know, there is a daily e-mail send out by ereaderiq which has loads of free kindle books on. I've got loads of good free ones from there.

Just finished the Henchmens book club by Danny King. Light hearted action book, I enjoyed it. I've also read Past imperfect and Emperors Edge both good reads, both free when I downloaded.

silver28 · 18/09/2012 18:52

I read a book called Max by DM Mitchell which was free (was the only reason I chose it) and I thought it was really good.

I love the Dana Stabenow books. They are set in Alaska and everyday life is so different there that I find it fascinating.
